We were staying close by back in October 2025 and we were lucky with the mild weather. This is a lovely secluded, shingle with great views out to sea and along the Jurassic coast. It is reached by quite a narrow county lane or by sea... The only disappointment was the exorbitant cost of the car park. We only stopped here for a few minutes to admire the views and get a bit of fresh air & we didn't really want to pay for the pleasure. Lovely mostly pebble beach. A small stream runs down the gully here onto the and there are great views from the cliffs. Had a nice walk along the coastal path across the cliffs to West Bay approx 1.2 miles away. A word of warning...the initial climb onto the coastal path can be very slippery in the wet Winter months and the road down to the smallish car is mostly single lane with few passing points...probably a bit of a nightmare in the Summer months. Nice and relaxing just like any other "beach", not very big and loads of people go there to walk their dogs along the coast. The little stones do follow all the way to the end, i do recommend wearing walking boots or trainers, wich it will make it easier to walk on. Beautiful secluded for a swim or picnic Stayed 200 yards from beach. Walked along the Costal path from Eype to Seatown. Be warned a certain level of fitness is required as there are a few steep climbs. The route is very well posted and is around 3 miles round trip. We'll worth a drink and meal at Seatown. Lovely place to and go for a walk along the coast. A very narrow road down to the car park, so be prepared to pull in and back up to let vehicles pass. Beautiful beach, shingle but easily walkable. High cliffs so take care. Car is via an honesty box, car is limited in size but right next to the steps that lead directly down to the beach. Difference between high and low tide is roughly 4 metres. Beautiful part of the S W Coast Path. WATCH OUT FOR PARKING CHARGES If you're unsure how long exactly you will stay around the beach, make sure you allow yourself some overtime even if you have to pay extra, europarks will charge you and you will not be able to appeal it. They charged us 60£ for a 20 min overstay because it took us a little longer than planned to walk back. Beautiful location nonetheless.
