That case when reality is much lower than expectations. :(( The port is very far from the castles - at least half the way you will be flying over the fields. :(( The helicopter flies high enough over the castles - don't expect to take exciting pictures like you see in the advertisements. The staff at the port does not speak English. For the same ticket price, you can either be the co-pilot (lucky one!) or sit between other passengers on the second row without the opportunity to take a photo. :( IMHO It is 'must have' to introduce the option when seats can be booked in advance. The result - very disappointed customer. Initial arrangements made for two trips in two helicopters - total 21 people. Itinerary arranged and 2000 euro wired. Then, they stopped returning emails. I ended up calling the telephone number on website - it was disconnected. I searched emails and found a cell number, which worked, and eventually received a confirmation email, but they did not respond to my questions about paying the reaming balance. Everything was set for 4 pm on a Saturday. I received a call on Friday wanting full payment as "Their credit card machine doesn't always work." OK, the unresponsive company now has >$9000 dollars of my money. The trip was a surprise for my guests, arranged to start at 4. Well, I assumed the helicopters landed at 4. They arrived early and planed to take off at 4, with or without my guests. What a mess and ruined surprise. Everyone had to scramble as Air Touraine failed to provide any details about how the tour would work. This could have easily been avoided. We take off and while I was aware that the pilots were not tour guides, it's been my experience with other helicopter tours that the pilot might slow down and even hover or turn the helicopter so everyone could get a picture of the chateaux. Not this group. This might as well have been a commuter flight. I cannot sufficiently express what a disappointment it was to work with this company. I would have been better off and it would have been cheaper if I had payed for my guests to stay an extra night, rented a bus and simply took everyone on a tour of the area chateaus.
