One of the few exceptional accommodation I have experienced. At the front, there was the primary Hotel Salinera and at the back, there were over 70 resort-like units for rent (Agoda advertised under the name “Bioenergy Resort Salinera Apartments”. There was free parking so you find a spot near your unit and come and go as you wish. The apartment surpassed my expectations: ✅ clean room, comfy bed, extra beddings in closet. Sofa bed. ✅ room also had tv, safe (low battery though), AC (located in the kitchen), and a dining table. ✅ kitchen was furnished with basics - pots, pan, dishwater and utensils (no condiments). Also had fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle, coffee maker and cooktop woth 4 burners. ✅ bathroom was spacious, especially the shower and can comfortably move around. ✅ had patio with table and chairs + clothes drying rack. ✅ Free parking And my favourite - plenty of community bins around the facility for recycling, garbage and even compost! 50mins walk to core Piran / 15 mins drive. Lots of Mercator stores nearby to stock up for food, and hotel has breakfast, lunch and dinner packages for a fee. One detractor for me was customer service. Female receptionist asked me to wait while she talked on her cellphone. Then a male receptionist came by and had to help me as she continued her convo at the back of the counter. 😳🙄 That said, highly recommend this place and will definitely stay again if I come back to Piran! ⚠️ Agoda provided confusing address that took me to some address inside the apartment complex past the hotel. You should check in at the Hotel Salinera (can’t Miss their entrance), and they will provide you the key to your apartment unit. This will save you time! Now this was the vacation we needed. From the very first check out to leaving it was 10/10. Breakfast is very solid at the hotel. There are a lot of options from salty/savoury to sweet. You have everything you could think about having for breakfast. We haven't paid for lunch and dinner, but you could pay 25€ per person and have everything you want with a free drink. The food is served like a buffet style. Our room was clean during our stay. The cleaning lady took very good care of the room, we had fresh towels and bed was made every time we came back from the beach/pool. The whole hotel was very clean and its employees were smiling all the time and helpful. The pool was well maintained and had a lifeguard. The resort has a private beach. It's more like a grassy area with stair access to the sea also with a lifeguard. There is an exchange cabin as well. Parking is very nice with an option to leave your car in a shade which was pleasant. We will definitely come next year, because we really enjoyed Slovenia. It's much better than Croatia.
