Beautiful right next to the city. There is a nice circular path that takes you around the reserve with plenty of stops along the way to look for wildlife. There is free parking and a cafe on sight. And mosquitos during summer :) If you don't know what to do anymore in Koper, you can go and visit Škocjanski zatok. It's less than 5 minutes drive from Koper center. It's a nice 40 minute walk exploring animals and their natural habitats.
