They had run out of audio tours so as we made our way round we had to guess at what it was we were looking at because all signs were in French. They clearly have ambitious plans and if they continue as they have started it will be a fantastic tourist attraction. The highlight is the well-preserved ruin of a giant Roman bath complex. Elsewhere, there are the ruins of an impressive aquaduct (used to get water to the bath house among other things) and a tumulus - covered in scrubby trees - of a Roman temple. The reception building (built over the aquaduct) houses a display of funds from the site, a shop, loos, and a cafe. I took the headphones guides tour, which was good - even if I could quite follow the designated trail. Costa less than 10 euros. Like lots of things in France, a bit shabby, dusty and haphazard, but interesting! For those who loves archaeological sites, it is a well-deserved spot to visit.
