We had the most fabulous time and made to feel really welcome, we were a party of 8 dining, plus a baby and 2 dogs, the staff were so helpful and accommodating from our initial enquiry and arriving. Food was delicious, fresh and hot, amazing potatoes! My only observation is the cost of trio vs portions were on the small side (waitress brought out more slices of meat to ameliorate the minor complaint) and the 12.5% service charge needs to be transparent, not visible on the bill which left us all confused about cost resulting in a quick review and checking back with the establishment. That all said, I would return, lovely local quaint pub with real atmosphere and a great place to dine for all ages, groups and sizes. Food is delicious. Nice little cozy pub/restaurant does a small but good menu. The place has a friendly service and a nice look. We got the specials that were on offer. Reasonable prices. a good little bar off the beaten track, but it is easy to find and also parking available. A fabulous Sunday in a great country pub. Well kept cask beers. It sometimes seems like all local roads lead to Chapel Amble, and if this is what you find at the end, the trip is well worth it. The best bar/restaurant we visited during our Cornish holiday. Absolutely gorgeous food, and a wonderful welcome/ambiance. Service was brilliant both evenings we visited, and as I say, food was wonderful. Would highly, (highly), recommend The Maltsters to anybody looking for a great night out. We loved it 👍👍👍👍👍👍 Lovely old pub in a picturesque village. Plenty of easy parking. Service was friendly and efficient. The food was perfect: an excellent halloumi burger with skin-on fries, and fantastic home-made turkey and ham pie with new potatoes and tender-stem broccoli. No fuss; just really good food done properly. Highly recommended. When I found out The Malsters had reopened under new management I shouted 'Jurassic Park!' at the top of my voice, much to the shock of the other passengers on my first class commuter train to London. Although come to think of it, why even go to London? I guarantee you'll either be mugged or not appreciated. I'd much rather spend an evening sipping a pint of bitter in The Malsters. The new landlord has even got rid of the 'no jeans in the bar policy' Cashback! The pub has since had the decor touched up and it looks great, modern yet homely, like the interior of a Lexus. The bathroom cleanliness is now bang on, the new tiling says to me 'Aqua' which is French for water. It's like being in an enormous fox's glacier mint. Which to me, is a bonus. The installation of a Saniflo 33 is pure genius, as it can cope with anything. And I mean anything. The pub is now being utilised to host events for locals such as village fetes and there's rumours that Jet from gladiators will soon be hosting a barn dance! My only gripe is that I lent the landlord, Ron, a Matika cordless power drill to help with some renovations and then six months later, I receive the very same one back as first prize in the charity raffle. Minus the power pack. Overall I would fully recommend a visit if you're in the North Cornwall area. Best sunday roast! It’s become a thing every Sunday and every single time it’s fantastic, crispy potatoes, delicious gravy and the puddings are a must. Tried everyone on the menu and I can honestly say I don’t have a favourite as they are all so good! Great atmosphere, lovely service, these guys deserve to do really well. Absolutely smashing it x We had a here on Sunday and came back for dinner on Tuesday! Both times the food, service and atmosphere was excellent! The lovely Jade was serving us and she was superb both days, very attentive and friendly! Both the Sunday and dinner were delicious, using local ingredients and fresh flavours. The goats cheese salad on the specials boats was amazing! The atmosphere full of locals was so nice to see and everyone in the pub was friendly. Would recommend to anyone and everyone! 12/10 Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
