Absolutely amazing atmosphere, friendly staff and very accommodating. Highly recommended!!! It's a decent place to eat in Pienza in the middle of the city where our tour dropped us off. We ate a decent lunch there - had a wide selection of options from pasta, pizza, other stuff - but it seems clear to me their speciaiity is drinks and coffeee and pastries. If you are hungry and you are in Pienza and you don't want to hunt around all day for the perfect spot, you will be ok here. One of very few places open in the morning. We were looking for a shady place to have a coffee. The only one open place in the old town at 10am on Thursday was in the sun. Found this cafe - lovely and welcoming. Many locals having their coffee and pastry. We got a couple of different chocolate pastries and they were both sublime - fresh, flaky, beautiful filling. Also got iced latte with an extra shot - those were great also. The server spoke reasonable English, and was very friendly helping us choose the pastry. A very lovely experience - relaxing, enjoying coffee like a local just outside the city gate. Everything we had were amazing💙We love Pienza. The Director, Luciano, sat with us and chatted us through the menu (and some local wine recommendations). His recommendations were out of this world. Likely the best past I’ve ever had. Quality. Personable. None pretentious. Stunning. The best Aperol Spritz in Italy! The people working there are nice and welcoming! The food is great and their 2-for-1 happy hour is a good deal! A perfect spot to relax and enjoy the vibe, highly recommend! Super friendly stuff and I was lucky to go during the quiet time and enjoy the recommendations provided to me. The atmosphere is great with a large amount of attention to detail starting from the marble top tables to the mood lighting at night. I had a crostono and glass of wine which were recommended to me and wouldn’t have thought to pick on my own but were both amazing. I have the highest respect for this restaurant and their staff. Due to an unfortunate oversight during payment, my friend paid 610.00 Euros instead of 61.00 Euros for our lunch. He only discovered this several hours later. To rectify this error I called and spoke to someone who was very accommodating and apologetic for the inconvenience caused. We sorted the problem out quickly and efficiently and as compensation, we enjoyed a complimentary breakfast the following day. The pizza I had the day before was amazing because I generally cannot eat pizza. This pizza was light, easily digestible and tasted absolutely delicious. The staff are genuinely friendly and offer great service. I'll definitely return to this place again soon!
