Stayed overnight and had a meal. Really staff. Food and beer all good. Room very comfortable, with tea, coffee and water. Very clean. Booked with a buyagift voucher. Excellent customer service. Make sure you get the righ Sun Inn, as there's another one quite close. Sue was amazing and could not do enough to make sure we had a time. Nice real fire in the bar. stopover while heading South. Food was fantastic and reasonably priced and there’s a lovely selection of local beers too. There’s parking outside if you’re driving and the staff are nice. Had lunch here today with two friends. Very impressed. Food was gorgeous . Service was great, . Infact everything about the place was faultless . Beautiful setting , clean pub, menu. I will be going back here and would recommend it as a fantastic place/ atmosphere to have a meal and drink . Stafff very . Commendations to the chef . The food was excellent, tasty, and good portions. Unfortunately for us not dog friendly. We had to sit outside the garden, not great. There is nothing to protect if it rained. If you haven't got a dog, I highly recommend Disappointing. Not dig - had to use beer garden around the back . Being disabled it was quite a long walk to the from of the back as guy who we presume was owner said no rear access. Fish looked lovely but was cold other meals were of a better standard. Not really Stunning little find. Food was amazing - nice relaxed atmosphere and staff. For starters had the king prawns and duck bao buns - delicious. Then for mains had the sizzling Cajun chicken platter & honey chilli chicken - both delicious. Fantastic portion sizes and very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend. Gluten free options are available! My partner is gluten intolerant and so finds eating out quite challenging. We found ourselves at The Sun Inn yesterday after a long drive from Carnforth to pick up something from FB marketplace, we were hungry and needed some food. We were early, before opening time, but the staff welcomed us anyway and we were invited to sit until opening time, which was most welcome. The Sunday menu we had didn't display many options for gluten free food, luckily for us the chef over-heard our conversation and very graciously offered to make a nut-roast with roast vegetables and gluten free yorkie-pud. Needless to say, my partner was over the moon. The food was outstanding. It was the tastiest food I had had in a long time. My partner said the same. I can't rate this place highly enough.
