First time and is a wonderful place food very tasty. Very good service and a small bar where you can have a few drinks overseeing the golf course. Visited for Sunday lunch. Very generous portions of delicious food. Service good, however, the area we were in was a bit characterless. Excellent service and great food! We were made to feel very welcome with our 8 month old baby. The setting and decor are great too. Haven't been to this place for a few years but I'm glad I made the effort to return. The Food was in a different league, possibly 2 grades above anything else I have experienced for a Sunday carvery. I had the salted chilli chicken starter and it was absolutely delicious, a good sized portion too. The was excellent too, a choice of two meats and plenty of variety as well, turkey, gammon, roast beef and lamb. Roasties were superb as were the many vegetables on offer. An extra gravy boat was also no problem and it was hard to find fault with any parts of the carvery. Deserts were of a top quality too and appear to be homemade, sticky toffee pudding and crème Brulé were the ones we tried. Staff were excellent and very good at their job. All in all, a top class and you'll do well to find any better. Already looking forward to my next visit Extremely disappointing for Sunday lunch Sunday - £28 for 2 courses which you must have. 1 course not an option even if you don’t want a starter or a dessert. Food portion size was good but the roast beef and roast lamb was over cooked - definitely not the place to go if you like your roast pink. Yorkshire puddings were cold and over cooked. Veg was bland. We took our dessert to go seeing as we were being made to pay for it. Out of 4 desserts only 2 were suitable for takeaway and it was the sorriest excuse for a dessert I’ve ever seen. A meringue nest with the tiniest amount of cream and 2 segments of orange. Staff were helpful but not overly friendly or welcoming. If you book a table make sure you ask for one by a window, our table was in the middle of the room with a 5ft brick wall blocking any view out over the beautiful golf course. Not sure who designed this room but this is an epic fail on the design front. Definitely better options to eat locally. Never tasted anything like it. Out with the entire family for a Sunday and it's officially the best we've ever had. Huge portions so make sure you come hungry! Amazing 🙏 Attended as part of a group of 12 - 7 adults/5 children for the Sunday carvery. Very accommodating with the young children, delicious food, generous portions and great quality. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely family atmosphere. Highly recommend! Only negative comment was that the kids meals didn't come with any veggies, although the under 5s were free of charge so definitely not a complaint. Food was outstanding and service was first class. Will definitely return.
