Be careful of the steep ascent to the top if you or a party member have mobility issues. The top is cramped and the climb/descent is extremely daunting. My family hiked to the ruins. It was a nice hike. The looks REALLY rundown, and most of the stairs you climb up are steep and a little scary because of how old they are. But the view from the top is nice. There are boards placed on the walls that have info of history and a pavilion that has lots of pictures from the past. You could spend a good half and hour or more there looking at all the elements of the castle. We got lost hiking back to our vehicle, so it would be nice to have more signs directing us. It was a nice family outing for a relaxing evening. Lovely place for hiking, bicycling and dog walking. There’s an amazing you can sit down and eat lunch. The trails are very straightforward and it’s pretty safe. The little restaurant up there was nice and the people around here were friendly.
