Highly recommended for a drink. Average drink price is about 50 Kuna per drink. We had the chicken superfood salad and the banh mi sandwich and both were excellent! While the coffee was decent, there are plenty of better breakfast spots in Zagreb worth exploring. I used to really love this place and came here at least twice a week but then they changed the menu from casual lunch and finger food to some kind of overpriced fine dining which doesn’t match the vibe of this place at all. recently they brought back a few meals from the previous menu, which was mostly perfect so I ordered something I used to love before which is duck spring rolls and the super food salad with shrimps. The duck spring rolls came unrecognisable. I will provide in the pictures below how it looked before and how it looks now. Along with the much smaller portion size those spring rolls are the top five worst things I’ve ever tasted in my life from outside they are dry and from inside they are so tasteless. The best way to describe taste is if you bought them frozen on a gas station and then microwaved them at home. The salad was okay, I would previously I would previously rate it as a 10/10 but now it’s like 8/10 it’s just a slightly bit different Nice little cafe. I had breakfast (french toast) and a cappuccino which were good! The staff was very friendly as well. They have only two white wines for selection. We decided to go with Chardonnay. On the nose, the felt bad. The taste was sour to confirm it. Absolutely disgraceful for a mini bar which offers only two labels for selection. I asked for my order without milk, and it was no problem at all. Everything was perfect, and Ivan made sure I was happy with it. Would recommend it. The waitress was amazing and really helpfull. I ordered a glass of Chardonnay, expecting the smooth and gentle profile that this variety is known for, including its balanced to moderate acidity. Unfortunately, the I received was exceptionally sour and unpleasant, indicating a much higher acidity than typical Chardonnays. When I expressed my concerns to the waiter, they mentioned that the sourness was intentional and part of the wine's profile. However, based on my understanding of Chardonnay, which usually boasts a balanced acidity that complements its fruit flavors, this excessive acidity was off-putting and detracted from the overall enjoyment of the wine. Additionally, the was priced at 7 EUR per glass, which seemed steep for the quality offered. It felt more like I was served a cheap bottle from the store rather than a well-crafted glass of wine. Overall, this was an unpleasant experience, and I hope Dezman Mini Bar will reconsider the quality of their selection to better match their pricing and the expected profiles of classic wines like Chardonnay.
