A+++ experience. Thank you so much I picked up the car I reserved, only to find that it was not the vehicle I had originally ordered. When I inquired, I was told that my car had already been rented out, and I was given no choice but to choose from more expensive options. This was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. As a business owner, I find it unacceptable that a company would agree to a price and then fail to deliver, offering only misleading alternatives. Not only was the vehicle I reserved unavailable, but this situation seemed like a tactic to push me into paying for an upgrade, with no real choice in the matter. This approach feels dishonest and unprofessional. Overall was fast. However, the vehicle was not the cleanest as is the case with the cars from SIXT CGN airport. Everyone was friendly and really helpful. Despite not having the car I booked they gave me a free upgrade for my Sixt+ Subscription. Not only that, they also very detailed with the inspection noting all the features and scratches that came with the vehicle despite me paying the full insurance policy. Would really commend this branch and their employees. Would definitely recommend! No manager on site. Nobody wants to help. Liars. Now my entire trip is ruined. The lady at the front office was uneducated and treated me poorly. She doesn't know any rules and regulations of the country & Sixt, she should be fired immediately, or sixt should stop hiring cheap employees. They tried to pass off a car with damages, and when I noticed, they were dishonest about it and attempted to charge me. They refused to give me a verify inspection and told me to film in the dark for proof. On top of that, it’s pitch black when you pick up the car, so you can’t even see any issues. I wouldn’t trust them—avoid this place at all costs. I ask you can you see a scratch here? I couldnt so I was charged! Thieves! Being the first to rent a car, I was naturally anxious, the lady at the reception was very friendly, I was given all the information I needed and more, since she took into consideration my needs and all what I didn't think of. The car was brilliant. The price I believe was reasonable. Being my first time, I had a very good with Sixt, I will certainly use them again incase need arises. Five stars 🌟 A complete shambles of a rental at Sixt Cologne Porz Gremberghoven. We booked a BMW 1 Series for pickup at 10am, paid ~£500, and then paid another ~£600 to upgrade to a BMW X5 after Sixt assured us (over the phone) that our age (19) wouldn’t be an issue. When we arrived on time, we were told we were too young to rent the X5—despite assurances and paying extra. The only car offered was a manual VW T-Roc, which we couldn’t drive or fit in. After waiting 2.5 hours, we were given an automatic T-Roc, far smaller than our booked category. Staff suggested we could switch cars at Frankfurt Airport, but when we got there, we were told this advice was completely wrong. To get a usable car, we ended up paying €300 extra for a Volvo XC60—ironically, a car also meant for drivers 21+, but which Frankfurt staff gave us anyway. This ordeal delayed us over 7 hours, ruined our first day, and caused us to miss our Airbnb check-in. Our total costs spiraled from ~£500 to ~€1,500 for just 3 days. Sixt’s mismanagement, misinformation, and inconsistency were shocking. We were misled multiple times, overcharged, and given completely contradictory information by different branches. We feel cheated and extremely disappointed. Avoid this branch (and possibly Sixt altogether) if you value your time, money, and sanity. Because there is no VW T-Roc whit automatic gear, the Sixt replaced it with very nice car high class. Thank you very much Sixt.
