Historic lodge. 30 minute from the Bruhl where we bought a joint ticket for both Bruhl and Falkenlust. No extra charge for the audio guide, which details the history and purpose of each room, with some interesting stories as well. There are some fabulous rooms with quite different décor. Allow an hour to visit. 😎👍👍👍👍 Beautifully maintained built by Clemens Augustas. My favorite part was the stairwell with all the blue Dutch tiles. Some bet nice history here and the staff was friendly and helpful. Beautiful place but the tour inside only consisted of the people at the place giving us a piece of paper with descriptions of each room. That was a bit odd, but likely it was due to all the international travelers and having staff that could speak certain languages. Like the house, this "hunting lodge" lacks most of the original furnishings. It is a great tour, though. The story of the property is told well, and there is actually more information available about the than the house. The restaurant is a good lunch option, and the chapel is well worth the short walk. Little less famous than Augustusburg, but equally beautiful! I visited the Falkenlust mansion as part of my tour at Bruhl complex (I had a combined ticket for 15€ that entitled me to visit both places) simply by walking. It was quite a distance (more than 2 km) as it took me approximately 35 minutes to reach the entrance gate. Regardless, it was a nice, leisurely through baroque gardens and stunning tree alleys (great photo opportunity), and I even had to cross the rail bridge. Thanks to the distance from the there was almost no one. For those wanting a quicker visit, there was a small parking lot located right behind the mansion's premises. At the entrance, where a small restaurant, restroom and gift store were located, I opted for an audio guide as the only option to tour the place is by yourself. It was an old device, with no headphones and unfortunately with low volume. However the narrative was much better than in the Augustusburg and was between 2 to 3 minutes long for each room. I spent around 40 minutes strolling around the mansion at my own pace, exploring every room and enjoying its beautiful decorations, mentionable the chinese black and golden lacquer cabinet and stunning mirror cabinet. Also the magnificent staircase paneled with white and blue tiles was very picturesque! The staff was nice and engaging when I needed further explanation. If you have time, it's worth visiting this place! Visited in August 2022. Nice palace. The wealth one must have to build such a thing as a retreat... Worth your visit when buying a combined ticket with the Schloss Augustusburg. The from the one Schloss to the other is beautiful, mostly shaded through the park. The estate is majestic and Falkenhurst is the lodge. It is just as opulent and well tended to as the estate. Give me a like this everyday! Compared to the palace, this location was actually more aesthetically pleasing in my opinion. Parking is fairly limited so it's probably a better idea to through the gardens around the palace to this location. Beautiful walk, worth seeing! Make sure you check the restaurant before visiting if you intend to eat there. Love it!!!! It is a very nice castle. Big, interesting. Some rooms take your breath away. The entrance is only 7 euro. You to this through the Forrest - Park. Very beautiful. Absolutely beautiful place to visit! I would highly recommend this schloss (Castle) Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
