There’s a great variety of fish, insects, and reptiles. The place is very clean, and the temperature in each section is adjusted to match the animals’ natural habitats. The toilets are located in the basement and are relatively clean. The is located just beside the Zoo, main entrance. Nice place to discover some animals, very well organized in different areas which immerse you in various environments. A little disappointed though with the size of the actual which in fact only represents a very small portion of the building, the rest being occupied by reptiles and insects etc. Huge with few highlights such as the turtle and big fish. We visited after visit to Koln zoo so we only spent an hour or so to cover the aquarium. We also skipped the entire reptilian section and the first floor due to time. Kids would love the Nemo exhibit. Visiting the at Köln zoo is a fantastic experience, especially for children. We visited at the weekend and it was very busy, so there was a crowd of people around many of the individual aquariums. The variety of different species of fish, snakes and other exotic creatures is just wonderful. This is absolutely stunning! I wish it was bigger because the people that take care of this do an amazing job! We had such an enjoyable experience seeing fish we have never seen before at any other Aquarium. When you hop off at the flora, aquarium, and zoo (the same location of Cologne, 🇩🇪 you need to be prepared to spend some real good time. It was awesome! Our kids loved every minute and we did too. The hippos were our favorite part. Plus they had good food in the park. Nice assortment of beautiful salt water fish and other creatures; adjacent to reptilarium and insectarium.
