They have lessons and you can play the par 3 course without Platzreife 👌 they also have a full length 9 hole course and a great driving range including TopRange technology by TopGolf 👌 Rather inexpensive course, mainly targeting beginners but - big pro: currently welcoming non-members (rare, considering the current corona situation). The course is a little, too "basic" for my taste, very few trees, fairways in rather medicore condition, short drives, no rakes in bunkers, greens so la la... A really laid-back start to a challenging sport. Comparing to other clubs in the region (cologne is surrounded by beautiful courses) Pulheim is fantastic for beginners. Trainers are friendly & fun to work with, so is staff. You can even rent equipment if you haven’t decided on what to get yet. As relaxed as golf gets in the region. Beginners feel welcomed. If you want to go towards higher-end clubhouses and courses (needing more experience), there are options in the surrounding area. Member since March 2023 ! Very very happy with my German golfing adventure. It’s not the most technical course but it’s fun and has its good holes! The red course is just par 3s and short par 4s but makes you feel epic when you smash it on the green for an eagle putt! The black is much longer but still fun, and personally my favourite 9. Water is a feature on lots of holes and annoyingly the water is shallow enough to see your prov1 rest just out of reach on the man made lake! The facilities are amazing! 3 putting greens! A chipping green and 6 short holes to practice on including flood lights I mean come on! Toptracer range is rather sadly paid for to unlock unlike what I’m used to in England however it’s not much and worth it when used! They run lots of flash sales throughout the year to get cheaper range balls or even discounted flat rate. Clubhouse do good food and Thursdays afterwork events flat rate range balls currywurst and a drink for 11€ member and 17€ non member is insane! Pros are great and head pro Seb speaks great English so I feel comfortable and welcome even with my rubbish German. A great chill vibe and everyone I play with is super chill and I’ve made lots of good connections playing throughout this year! Lots of tournaments each week saw me go 54->25 hcp and they are cheap (12€ member) to enter ! 5 stars 😁😁 they charge for every single thing, dont get shocked with the hidden costs. Highly recommended, especially if you’re new to golf. I took a beginners course there and in five days I was ready to go! It also has very nice facilities and it’s fairly close to Cologne even by public transportation. Highly recommended especially for beginners! Instructors were helpful and found a good way of imparting knowledge. Atmosphere of the club, staff and other members was pleasant. I recently did my Platzreife here, which went really smoothly, along with some really useful tips along the way. Overall the people at the club (staff and customers) are all really friendly and give the place a great vibe. Would definitely recommend it.
