The concept itself is super cool, and the fact that it was designed and built by one guy... really incredible. I can only imagine the effort that went into the electronics and programming to make everything work. The cabin was a little chilly to start but the log burner soon warmed it up. We didn't cook anything in the kitchen but it seemed well enough equipped for 2 people for a few nights. The way the music and lighting is set makes for a unique experience, as does the built-in jacuzzi with its 'storm mode'. The build in escape-game style challenge worked really well - you need to think strategically but it's solvable in around 2 hours. We had a small technical bug at one point but Corin reset the game for us so it didn't detract from the overall experience. The breakfast and dinner provided were both excellent - Kudos to Samantha - as were the recommended local restaurants. Corin was also super friendly when delivering the food to the cabin, as well as supplying us with extra logs and fire lighters. Talking of friendly, there are also 3 goats that enjoy petting and attention! Yes this place is not 'cheap', but you are paying for an experience that I really think is quite unique - it's also situated in a great location for exploring that region of the Pyrenees and made for a lovely weekend stay! We stayed in the villa and the experience was just exceptional. The welcome and entrance into the villa itself was amazing. They had some nature sounds playing on arrival which was all automatic and so thoughtful. With regards to facilities, you have a large, fully functioning kitchen, toilet and amazing shower space. You have the sauna in your room and an outdoor jacuzzi. You have complete privacy with an adorable little pond with fish inside. There’s an outdoor barbecue and sunbathing area which is in your own wee garden too, also completely private. You have amazing views over the mountains. We ordered a meal for evening and had the breakfast the next morning and both were absolutely perfect. All towels and bed sheets provided. The indoor fire is adorable. I am a very cold person and we were there in December but I was so cosy and comfortable. Although you might initially think it’s a lot of money for a night, once you arrive and see how perfect this place is, I can honestly say it’s cheap for the high level of quality that’s provided. All the small finishing touches like the mood lighting, music system and general ambience is just simply exquisite. It’s a total slice of heaven and completely refreshes the soul! It’s an absolute MUST to visit this place… This was a stunning and unforgettable stay in an utterly unique accommodation. I don't want to provide every last detail as it would spoil the magic for future visitors but our hosts' imagination and attention to detail were incredible. We stayed in Shangri-La, a beautifully constructed villa perfect for couples looking for an idyllic retreat. Lovely snug mezzanine bed, beautiful terrace with mountain views and our own little spa. What more could we want? Lovely hosts, beautiful spot. A gem not to be missed! Had the most amazing holiday staying at La Cabane Enchante It was a truly magical experience! This beautifully decorated cabin is packed with surprises as lights magically switch on and you have an incredible view over the Pyrenees from the very comfortable bed. Its very well designed with its own kitchen and coffee machine with plenty of space for sitting outside and cosy in the winter with its own log burner. But the real hidden gem is the magical spa where you are at one with nature literally immersed in an Amazonian rain forest. Would highly recommend a visit if you are looking for something a bit different in a beautiful location.
