We had a beautiful, relaxing Sunday lunch here. The welcome was warm, the waiters spoke great English, the food was delicious and the price was very reasonable. This is a place well worth seeking out. This was our fourth visit and everything was as good as the first time. On this occasion we had lunch outside and it really was excellent. superb menu, beautiful view of the mountains and interesting wines. We love the cellar with its big range of modern and unusual wines. It's a joy to choose a that one has never heard of and discover something different. Now we just let Jean Baptiste Mazaud choose something for us.... a true voyage of discovery. This was one of the best lunches we have had in a long long time. Even if you have to wait a little longer (the problem of finding staff is real here as well). The people they do have are kind and very professional. For the 2022 summer the dishes are served sort of like tapas. But then with a mix of the local cuisine and French and Spanish dishes. Mouthwatering. And accompanied by exquisite wines. Ask the owner to help you out with that and enjoy him finding the best for you. Truly amazing We enjoyed five small, imaginative and perfectly formed courses for lunch, early in March 2024. We were advised that four courses would amount to a normal meal in quantity. You can choose the number of courses, with a different price accordinly. We decided that, as we had made a special trip, we might as well try all five courses, which I think set us back about €53 or €56 each. Total bill for two with about four or five glasses of was €140. So it's a restaurant for gastronauts or those celebrating a special occasion. For each of the first three courses there was a fish option and a meat option so my friend and I chose one of each and ended up sampling everything! Interesting wines recommended by the patron who is also a caviste. I will see if I can upload the menu. In a different class from most restaurants in the area, among the best meals I have ever eaten! Highly recommended if the price is not a problem. Loved our visit to Muerette. Fabulous location and food. Definitely recommended.
