We hired all the gites for my husbands 50th and it was absolutely amazing. Every gite is beautifully decorated, incredibly clean and comfortable. The entire place is stunning, beautiful gardens and pool. The owners Sandrine and Pierre are so accommodating and friendly, nothing is too much trouble and they allowed us to arrive early and leave late. I would absolutely come back again and again. Thank you both for a fantastic stay. We stayed for 4 nights. The hosts are lovely and very friendly. The cottage is well equipped, nicely decorated, and very clean. The kids (11, and 8) enjoyed the outdoor amenities (specially the trampoline and the swimming pool. The location is not far from Sarlat, and a short drive away from some of the best sites the Dordogne has to offer. Some sites are around 1 hour but the roads and small villages are lovely to drive through. One thing that can be improved is the weak wifi reception. I highly recommend. I recommend ordering direct. It was cheaper than external sites. This picture of the breakfast delivered to our door every day sums up our stay - perfection. Our two-bedroom gîte was total comfort and we had fun swimming in the pool and saying hi to the animals. There are goats, chickens, a pig and of course Cooper the dog. Wonderful hospitality and recommendations. We stayed at Gites La Source for 4 nights over the Easter holidays and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Our gite was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We loved the decor of every and the privacy in our outdoor area. Our 2 year old loved the animals that were on site and the very spacious and well equipped games room. There was plenty to keep the adults entertained in the games also. Location is perfect, just a few minutes from the stunning town of Sarlat and 5 minutes drive from other smaller villages which was really handy to get fresh bread. We availed of the breakfast basket on one morning and a home cooked meal on one night and both were delicious. As the weather wasn't great we didn't get a chance to try out the pool but it would be perfect in warmer weather. The setting is absolutely gorgeous everywhere you look. The wood burning fire was lighting in our gite on arrival and the heating in every made the place so cosy. It's perfect even in colder weather. Sandrine and Pierre were brilliant hosts too. So friendly and welcoming! We felt right at home straight away and are looking forward to staying again. We had a wonderful week in Gite Préau. A peaceful place to unwind within easy reach of the Dordogne and Vezère valleys. Sandrine and Pierre were really kind and helpful and went out of their way to accommodate our needs. The beds were very comfortable and the breakfasts and dinner provided as an optional extra were excellent. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for the gite experience but with friendly hosts on hand when you need them. We had an amazing stay in the studio at Gîtes La Source. The had everything we needed and the terrace is a great upgrade to the room. The hosts were very friendly and the gîtes are located perfectly to visit all the villages.
