A beautiful and relaxing place to stay with excellent facilities. We especially appreciated the sauna and pool. A wonderful place for a family of four to unwind, take a break, and truly relax. We stayed in the Tobago cabin, which was beautifully designed, every corner is picture-perfect with careful attention to detail throughout. The hosts were warm and welcoming, and we especially appreciated the fresh ground coffee. Breakfast was excellent and thoughtfully prepared. If you're coming from the city, as we did, don’t forget to look up at night, the view of the Milky Way is absolutely breathtaking. An absolutely fantastic base for a family of 4 to explore the delights of the Dordogne Valley. The beautiful towns of Sarlat, Domme and Beynac are all just a short drive away, yet the accommodation is rural and peaceful with super-friendly hosts in Michel and Annet. The facilities in the treetop cabins at Domaine de Campagnac were superb (stayed in Tobago), with modern furnishings, super comfy beds, air-con and fabulous terrace and hot-tub. The pool area is also perfect to relax by/play in after a morning's canoeing on the river (several Canoeing trip launch points are located within 10-15 mins drive). Would highly, highly recommend this wonderful place! PS. The delightful breakfasts served up to the treehouses on a pulley are a must!! Stayed for 2 weeks in le sechoir and payed more than €5500,- for a home that was not clean, dirty dishes in the cupboard, showers that didn't work (fixed them myself) and at 30 degrees very uncomfartable. No airconditioning is a big problem in this wooden home with no kind of sunshades. And the constant sound of the ventilationsystem ( that's located in the bedroom) kept me awake. Any positive things? Yes, the location is great, the pool was awesome, the owners nice, but they should stay in this themselves for a week or two, perhaps then they would realize that maintenance and investing in some kind of cooling of the house is necessary.
