One of the Best Places To Visits in Sigmaringen A highly recommended castle visit that is both accessible and impressive. The self-guided audio tour allows for a personalized experience. Plan for at least 2 hours to explore the castle and consider visiting during off-peak hours to avoid crowds. Tickets can be purchased online or on the day. The castle visit takes approximately 2 hours. Paid parking is available nearby, but it can fill up quickly. The town itself is also worth exploring. Consider visiting during the shoulder seasons (spring/fall) for fewer crowds. Definitely a MUST visit if you are in the area. Outstanding location for viewing medival hand held weapons and armour body suits. Best armoury in the nation and likely the EU. The grandure of the castle is quite explicit in the composition of the interior decor. What a stunning castle with a long and rich history. Not crowded and inexpensive. It is definitely one of the most underrated castles in Germany. It is no lesser than other castles. Parking is available nearby and the sales area in the has a great collection. The employees were extremely friendly and polite. 19th century built on hill on top of the Danube river. from hohenzollern royal family. it holds different rooms to discover, and a weapon hall. mostly medieval decorations. better to take the Audio guide and walk alone freely then to wait for the guided tour. impressive and astonishing furnished rooms. We visited this wonderful yesterday. What a stunning with a long and rich history. The staff when purchasing tickets were extremely friendly. We had no problem purchasing tickets on the day. We took a self guided and it was very well done. Amazing history and the rooms are just stunning. The Armory and coach museum were very cool as well. Horse drawn carriages going back hundreds of years. This dominates the skyline in Sigmaringen and is just stunning. We loved our and highly recommend. Outstanding location for viewing medival hand held weapons and armour body suits. Best armoury in the nation and likely the EU. Owned by a current day nobleman of descent. Long drive to get to. No free parking. Petrol stations in town. No human english guides. Phenomenal tourist site for lovers. Great to and come visit. Not crowded and inexpensive. It’ll take about 2hours to tour. Audio guides are free. Nearby there are plenty of places in the small town to eat and a walking trail across the water. Definitely a MUST if you are in the area. You can buy tickets online for the day. I would recommend saving about 2h to the castle. The tickets are about 15 euro each. You should the town as well, as it was constructed by the king too! Easy to reach by car, with parking available right next to the entrance—though it can fill up quickly. No worries though, as there are plenty of paid parking spots just 200 meters away along the street. The €15 entrance fee is definitely worth it. The is beautiful, rich in history, and especially impressive if you’re into weaponry—there’s an extensive collection of swords, rifles, and pistols on display. The is enhanced by a free audio guide available in multiple languages, which makes the experience both informative and engaging. I haven't visited many castles but this one was everything that I hoped for. The grandure of the is quite explicit in the composition of the interior decor. The historical items, which have seen hundreds of years, made me feel privileged to share this moment with them. The audio device was helpful and gave comprehensive information about the rooms and items in the rooms (too much information for me to absorb in a couple hours). Beautiful at the center of the city that overlooks the Danube river. Loved the old town vibe and details inside the castle. Well maintained.
