So my family and i were excited to go to the Forest Lodge, it has an ok atmosphere, but its just not… good, well the food was very and all, with a top class chef, but the problem was, as we were were waiting for our desert, it took 1 hour and 10 minutes! For only two ice bolls, its just absurd, eventually as we wanted to pay, the server said it was 305€ and my dad wanted to pay 320€ so a ‘big’ tip, and guess what the server said its normal to pay ‘365€’! While my dad wanted to pay extra, the server just wanted more, just what the hell? Excellent food, lovely atmosphere and great service We have eaten here a few times. Not cheap but very good quality. Also to have a drink before dinner, especially in summer on the terrace. Very staff, especially Karim who is extremely friendly and always has a good recommendation. We will be back for sure! We chose to have dinner at Forest Lodge restaurant as we heard the food served at this place is authentic and tasty, but to our surprise the service was pathetic. We ordered the food and waited so long despite having less number of customers. Initially, when we received our main course, the fish was old and had rubbery texture, the very first time Acadian Redfish was so dry and smelled like an old mackerel. When we spoke to waiter, he rudely answered fish is fresh we understand nothing in sea food. The side dish suppose to be aubergine with roasted tomatoes, where aubergines taste like nothing, completely tasteless and tomatoes was fresh not roasted. We told to waiter that this is not what is written in menu where waiter told us this is a Michelin star restaurant. At the end we ate nothing and paid 140€ for returned dishes. Very unpleasant experience with such a poor customer service and low level food. We were in very high spirits to enjoy the day, because the place looked beautiful and peaceful, but because of the service, along with food, everything got ruined. The manager seemed ignorant about the whole episode, and we felt annoyed by this kind of negligence. The only positive aspect is the bar, there were very friendly waitresses, beautiful music and tasty coffee!
