Laveno’s lakeside promenade offers an amazing views of the mountains and the Maggiore. There are benches along the promenade, restaurants, bars, ice cream parlors. You can take the car ferry if you want to go to the other side of the (Intra-Verbania) and also, you can ride the cable car up to the Sasso del Ferro to have the fantastic view of the lake. Molti turisti, tra cui io, arrivano a Laveno in treno; molto comodo da Milano anche se bisogna avre un poco di pazienza, il treno fa tutte le fermate. Il lungo lago nella sua prima parte, non saprei per quale motivo, mi ha ricordato in parte quello di Lecco, ben alberato e con le barche in vista. Laveno è carina ma ha a ridosso le montagne e quindi si trovano subito delle salite, come - ad esempio - per andare alla chiesa di San Ambrogio. If you get the opportunity to be in the Lago Maggorie area an hour north of Milano I would recommend that you visit the side town of Laveno and take a stroll along Lungolago. You can reach Laveno by car, train from Milano or ferry boat. If you drive you can park behind the train station on the (near the playground or volleyball court) as you walk towards the you will see the beginning of the walking path (Lungolago). If you follow the path past the ferry stop toward the church you will pass many nice little shops to grab a gelato, espresso, pastries, art galleries appetizers and many great restaurants. (See my other reviews). You can even rent a motor boat for a few hours to see the lake. The town recently restored a portion of Lungolago making it a very lovely place to take a walk, take pictures and grab something to eat and drink. If you are anywhere near the area, I really encourage you to visit Laveno and enjoy a walk along Lungolago. Sleepy nice town Beautiful place! Very quiet Passeggiata piacevole in tutte le stagioni, con una vista meravigliosa. È sempre ben tenuta e si possono trovare diversi bar/gelaterie e ristoranti vista lago. Il parcheggio è attaccato al lago ed affiancato dalla stazione. Per godersi a pieno il lago consiglio di prendere il traghetto e proseguire la passeggiata ad Intra. Siamo stadi a ferragosto per vedere i fuochi d'artificio,posto stupendo,pochi parcheggi, bisogna arrivare molto presto la mattina per parcheggiare.Panorama al tramonto mozzafiato, bellissimo!Lo consiglio a tutti,tranne a ferragosto perché c'era una folla allucinante.Una ora per uscire dal paese finiti i fuochi d'artificio. Il lungolago di Laveno è bellissimo! Specialmente durante le festività natalizie è molto suggestivo con il presepe sommerso! Davvero delizioso 🤩 War mit meiner Familie dort.
