Totally gorgeous. We stayed during a massive 2 day snow storm when many places across the region lost power. Not us! Warm and cozy. The wood stove and all appliances are fabulous. The snowshoeing excellent. And the bedding is super comfortable! Highly recommend. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer. Had an amazing 2 nights at BESIDE habitat. Nothing was missed in the suite that I could have further wanted. The kitchen was amazingly equipped, the furnishings were perfect, the sauna was hot...all of the little things were covered and met expectations. The in floor heating made the place incredibly cozy for our two days in the Chalets playing boardgames, cooking meals and spending time together. Amazing place. My stay in the well-appointed, clean, and tranquil Québec chalet was a truly exceptional experience. Offering a small welcome drink, fruit, or snack, would be a thoughtful and kind gesture. A place I will return to again and again. A dreamy retreat for relaxation and/or socializing... Had the coziest weekend cooking with friends (the kitchen has everything you'd ever need to prepare a magical meal), drinking good wine, staying warm by the fire, and exploring the extensive grounds. It was the perfect place for a secluded weekend to recharge with loved ones. I look forward to going back for a solo, even more relaxed 'work from (not) home' experience because it seems like the ideal place for focus and inspiration. Truly a slice of heaven. PS: USE THE SAUNA. A dream come true. BESIDE is unique. The architecture and attention to details is beyond. We are nature enthusiasts and were thrilled by the unobstructed views of trees - no neighbours in sight. The kitchen is fully equipped, the sauna was perfect for relaxing, the bedrooms intimate. We explored the land thanks to the great paths in the woods. We had our 2 dogs and 1y/o and there was something for everyone; dog bowls and treats, colouring books and crib. Would seriously recommend to anyone and would stay there again. It was perfect, anyone I know would absolutely love to stay here for some time to just be with nature, and find a little inner peace. I have rarely been so relaxed and treasured moments with my husband playing cards, cooking, reading and falling asleep by the fire. Great for a family vacation. This was our second stay and we already can’t wait to go back. This trip has become a tradition for us. I stayed here with my family for 2 nights and the experience left us wanting to come back again. Even if the complex is still under construction we were able to enjoy the peace and quiet one would expect from being in the middle of the canadian wild. The houses are beautiful, very well equipped with all kinds of amenities and the hiking trails are a literal 5 minutes away from the homes. Very highly recommended for someone looking to get in touch with nature and for some peace away from the city.
