Decided to go on a beery road trip in the Laurentians, and this was our first stop. Great setup, with a fire pit, picnic tables and a deck giving you access to the river. The location used to be a synagogue, so it has that spiritual thing going on. Personnel was friendly and helpful, explained the beers well. The lager served via lukr was excellent, the IPA was also great. There was a pop up shop, a Thai family making papaya salad and pad Thai, it was great. It was worth suffering through the traffic heading north to check this place out. A lovely brewery with a very laid back atmosphere. Located in the heart of the village, next to the du Nord River, this former Jewish Synagogue has been fully renovated inside and out with some nice artisanal works. Parking is vary limited, but there is a public space near by and some street parking on the other side of the bridge. The tap selection is mostly pale and wheat ales, with one pilsner (that I enjoy), same for their beers to go, available in 6X 12oz cans, or growlers. Very good service and a relatively quiet place to drink, as Val-Morin is more isolated than the neighbouring town of Val-David. The place is simply beautiful. Pretty house with vintage details, a huge patio and outdoor space right by the river. Gorgeous. Unfortunately, the was hit or miss. Their pilsner was refreshing, perfect after a hike. We also tried two American Pale Wheat and they were not to my taste. One had a bitter aftertaste. Sad. I've been told the place is full during summer. Lots of family. First of all, the is to die for, second the service is impeccable, and the atmosphere unforgettable. The master brewer Maxim, helped me pick the perfect brew, and let me taste beers as well. IPA was amazing. Just a little lacking in density but then again when you cater to kayakers and cyclists it's perfect. Their passion fruit sure was one of the best sours I've ever tasted and the pale ale as well. If you post a review saying their pale ale is bitter then you shouldn't be reviewing beers cause what's a pale ale without bitterness. Gotta try the food next time!
