The owner of seven years, his father and local staff, all work hard to achieve customer satisfaction and a pleasant dining experience. Offering a really range of well prepared and tasty meals at reasonable prices as well as a selection of ales with well stocked bar. This is well worth the detoure to visit. I thought the meal prices to be on the high side for what I would class as standard pub fare. The outdoor seating areas are looking tired, the fence is broken in places, plants could use a tidy/refresh and there were quite a few weeds which let the place down. This could easily be remedied which would make a big difference I believe. The picnic bench seating is fine for dining but the tables directly outside the pub are too low to have food on so only for drinks. 6 of us had a 2-course Sunday roast today. This was as a roast I have had in a pub. Stuffed pork belly roast. The carrot and cumin puree was such an original twist. Giant Yorkshire puddings with crunchy roasties and perfect meaty gravy. Had some nice starters and puddings between us too. Staff were very - service smooth and friendly. The setting is fantastic. What a nice pub.
