Food was gorgeous, well presented, good portions and tasty! Lovely bunch, but the service could have been better. We arrived and waited for arout 30mins before we had to interrupt the waitresses from their chats to ask for drinks. After our mains we were given the desert menus. Waited another 30mins to ask the waiter for our choice of desserts and during this time we didn't have any drinks left. Not very attentive. Otherwise everything else was great. Would still come again, just hope for better service. Our local pub that constantly provides great food, services and atmosphere. Another visit last night with family. Food excellent especially the special chorizo scotch eggs. Always goes over and above and very accommodating. Thanks Nick, John and team. Had a lovely festive meal at the Wheatsheaf Inn. The atmosphere is lovely, staff are attentive and food was delicious. Gluten Free items were clearly marked, they gave me gluten free bread with my soup and they were very reassuring. I also note on their main menu they say to ask for chips to be oven cooked if you need them to be gluten free so they seem to be knowledgeable about cross contamination. Been here a couple of times now and have thoroughly enjoyed the food, drinks and very friendly customer service. The Wheatsheaf never fails to excel. It’s such a fantastic atmosphere, brilliant service and fab food. We go regularly and really appreciate a great place so close by to enjoy good food. Tried here for Sunday dinner earlier and it was so good I couldn’t not leave a review! Amazing food and service and great selection of beers and wines on offer, great experience and would definitely recommend! Went for Sunday Lunch recently with family and I must say it was one of the best restaurant Sunday lunches I've had for quite a while. The food was well prepared, tasty and of a high standard. We always have a lovely time here. It’s a fabulous restaurant and we always enjoy our family get togethers. The food is incredible too.
