Gorgeous City, clean perfectly organized, friendly BLS employees are there for you to help. Tours on boot going in time, safety first also possible to book with cheese fondue, child friendly service. High Competence, Thank You ! I mean, what else do you need to feel like you're on holiday? A great cruise that empowers you to marvel at the Swiss Alps and the gorgeous Lake Thun. 🇨🇭⛴️⛰️❤️ Fahrt mit der Blümlisalp, wunderbar! Sehr schönes sauberes Schiff, sehr freundliche Mannschaft, ( inklusive die Frauen) The were very professional and friendly, and food was quite good. We sat in Second class, and had salads and ordered beef steak on the hot stone. I can't encourage you enough to do this little two hours plus cruise around lake Thun. The scenery, well it speaks for itself, the are reasonably priced and so is the restaurant. You can book in advance or sit outside on the deck and enjoy a meal, but get into the queue early for a good spot. As this is public transport don't forget your mask. Immer wieder ein Erlebnis. Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter. "DA SAGT MAN NOCH GRÜEZI UND ADIEU" Wir kommen gerne wieder. Between 15:45-16:00PM today (6th September 2024), the old man who served me and my family at the ticket office was outright RACIST, and discriminating. We were already stressed as our return trip back to Interlaken West (scheduled to depart at 15:40 from Thun) was cancelled due to a technical problem with the ship. You can review your CCTV footage during these times and you will see the whole event unfold. A public commotion was made because he to speak to my girlfriend because her English wasn’t “good”. He to listen to my girlfriend, and that’s when I stepped in. I demanded him to apologise to my girlfriend but he did not after I repeatedly requested him to (at this point, I am VERY frustrated). He then to serve us and shouted at us to go to the next counter. Moments later, he did come out of the ticket office to personally apologise to me and my family with the entire surrounding public witnessing his public apology. A bystander even sided with us and told me how he was also disrespected by the same man. Finally, a young woman working at the ticket office too even threatened to call the police on me if I continued to be “loud”. She initially to provide any contact details to escalate the complaint, then she eventually just handed over a leaflet with an email. Yes, I was still angry and frustrated. However, I was NOT verbally abusive at any point, and I had every right to be frustrated after how me and my girlfriend was treated by these utter disgraceful employees. Let this serve as a reminder of how NOT to treat people. I can only imagine other foreigners with little spoken English being bullied by this man. I don’t only speak for myself and girlfriend today, but for the many others who may have been disrespected by him or his co-workers too. I hope this man will be reminded of this public embarrassment every time he tries to disrespect anyone ever again. Boat ride was good. Amazing view of the lake and the mountain. However, the crew of the boat discriminates western tourists with other tourists. While de boarding the boat, a lady crew said thank you to everyone in front of me and everyone behind me except me. When i was passing her she purposely looked elsewhere pretending not to see me so that she doesn’t have to thank me. However, I would like to thank another lady in reception for allowing me to charge my phone which is commendable. Except the Racist behaviour by some of the staff, rest was a wonderful experience. An amazingly beautiful view from the lake! Priceless! But, if you don't have a first class ticket or if you don't want to eat at the restaurant, you have to sit outside and undercover seating is limited. Can be rather cold or in rainy weather not ideal. Great experience nevertheless! But try go on a sunny day! Friendly staff, watch out for the time table travels twice or thrice a day, free access for sbb GA travel card and swiss travel pass Went on a round trip with the boat (Schilthorn) today from Gunten, in first class. Experienced the most unfriendliest waiter I have yet to have the pleasure of being served by. Just downright rude! This tarnishes an otherwise great experience that I have enjoyed on a regular basis. The view are stunning Ich habe sowas in der Schweiz noch nie erlebt. Danke, danke, danke This probably won't get anywhere, but I still feel the need to let people know what to expect, especially foreign tourists. As a paying customer, I expected to be treated with basic respect, which I none. Our was unexpectedly cancelled, and we were told the trip was cancelled, and we should go to the office to get a refund or train ticket. I queued up with my brother and my and waited until our turn to speak to the male staff. Our situation was a bit complicated, as we all bought the day pass for our whole family of 5 and already travelled from Interlaken West to Thun Lake earlier, and needed to get back to Interlaken to get on the last from Interlaken Ost to Brienz (we were explained later that we already missed the last one, which was completely fine). The problem was the male staff's attitudes towards me personally. I spoke to him first and asked if he spoke English, to which I no response, only "tickets, show me the tickets" repeatedly, not even a hello. Of course I did give him all our straight after, and started explaining our situation trying to find a solution for us, not that we just wanted a refund. He didn't listen to any of what I was saying, just said "wait!" and started asking "where you come from" but I was in the middle of talking and explaining the situation to him so I couldn't hear it well and answer him. My heard and told him "Interlaken", to which he responded along the line of "this man speaks better, let me talk to him/let him talk". I was speechless for a second and was about to ask him what he just said to me as it was totally disrespectful and offensive, but my already corrected him that it was rude and he should apologize. He then to, kept his rude attitudes and shooed us away telling us to go to his colleague at the next counter. My also to let this slide as it was and wanted to get a contact to complain further. After a few minutes the same man came outside where we were standing and personally apologized to my boyfriend, but not me, the one he insulted and treated with disrespect (?) My asked him to apologize to me at least 3 times, but he did not until the very end. All he did was put the cash in my hand, told me we already went on the once so we only half our money back. Then again, I realized the money I wasn't correct, as I paid 315CHF for 5 tickets, but only 152.50CHF back. So I had to go back to the same counter and tried to explain to him again that it's not correct, I even showed him how much I paid on my phone, but he didn't listen again and told me repeatedly you already went once, you only half etc. Look, 5 etc. My had to step in again and show him the calculator on his phone 315/2=157.50, then he finally listened and gave us the correct amount back, but the way he was giving it to me was like take it and leave this place, happy now? I really don't know how I could interpret the man's behavior towards me, other than he was being sexist, that a man speaks better so I should let men speak and be quiet. I've never been openly discriminated against/disrespected this way despite living abroad in Germany for more than 10 years. I'm utterly disappointed and this incident really ruined my entire day. Switzerland itself is such a beautiful country that I've visited a few times, even brought my whole family here, but I don't think I'd like to come back anytime soon. Moreover, I don't wanna be a customer of a company whose treated a paying customer this way. I paid for the tickets, I didn't ask for anything for free to be treated like this. When my asked the other female for the male staff's name to further forward the complaint, the female also to give us the name and only said sorry just for the sake of letting this slide and for us to go away, she didn't really mean it either. I hope other foreign customers will receive better treatment.
