Whilst not a negative review I just felt a higher expectation before playing Dungannon in terms on conditioning. I got lots of bad lies where my ball was both in front and behind a clump of grass and in general there were too many unkempt areas through the green to warrant four stars. To its benefit Dungannon is easy access and offers lots of variety, it has a few blind tee shots with bells in place to let following group know when to hit but alas the group ahead of us didn't use one once all day so unnecessary time was wasted on tee boxes waiting for a safe time to tee off. Some signage to make mandatory use of these bells would improve things. Greens on the day (June) were just short of good, a lot of courses nearby I would say have better putting surfaces. Dungannon is hilly so bear in mind. Dining was nice Relaxed place to have some lunch, carvery was good. There's an outside terrace which was great as it was unusually sunny. Food OK. Welcome not so good. Twice now have been greeted by, 'you alright' rather than the much nicer 'good evening'. This particular waitress has to tone down her voice. The whole restaurant could hear everyone's order and how much they were paying. We have the pleasure of visiting Dungannon Golf Club's bar and restaurant after a round of golf and I honestly can't recommend it enough. The bar staff, especially Ciara, are always so friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrive. Prince, in the restaurant, dishes up meals which are consistently full of flavour, fresh and delicious. The service is top-notch, and the quality of the food never disappoints. I highly recommend. Very well kept course. All good aside from lots of groups of slow moving teens late evening. Had takeaway food from The Claret Jug this evening, absolutely delicious! I had the crispy duck stirfry, which was amazing, my husband had chicken stack, equally great!! Would highly recommend, brilliant service and reasonably priced. Keep it up!! 👍😋 Very poor went for Sunday tea, ordered our drink ,husband drinks Corrs and I drink Rock shore, pretty basic drinks. The staff member who took our order didn't understand what the drinks were, long story short, don't"t serve Rockshore and apparently because they had a party in on the Saturday nite they had drank all the Corrs, not impressed. We left and went elsewhere.Look after your customers plz, they are what keep you in business 11/10 visit regularly for the Sunday carvery as it is top class food and great customer service. The chef went out of his way to put chicken on for me which was greatly appreciated. Highly recommend :) A 26th wedding anniversary meal just for two!
