Tomney's Bar

Armagh, United Kingdom Irish pub

One of the Best Places To Visits in Moy Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Absolutely beautiful wee place, just couldn't say enough about this spot, owner was walking around chatting everyone and thanking people for calling as they left, interior is amazing just exactly what you expect a Irish public house to be, just overall fantastic experience, this actually topped my St Patrick’s day. One of my favourite pubs in Ireland, great craic and lots of beer and whiskey. Saturday nights a must No food however the friendly atmosphere makes up for hunger Drop in for a pint and you’ll not be disappointed. If you’re really lucky like we were you’ll catch this awesome one man band who loops his songs and fills the room with singing. Think he’s called Andy Young. What a gem of a place. Very quirky but brilliant. Did not have food so I'll add that another day... What a spectacular venue, full of surprising nooks and crannies. The decor is evocative and always interesting but not distracting to the main event - DRINKING! So cool, it caters for literally bus loads of punters. Long may Tomney's reign! We stopped in on the way home from the Effil to call a Bolt lift. The staff for lovely. Bar man was kind..he made my daughter a cup of tea ..that's all she wanted! We had a few drinks. The lads were great Was there for the live music and a few Guinness and had great crack. Was shown around all the different areas by the landlord and then he bought us a top Guinness as good if not better then a Dublin pint. Fantastic bar with friendly locals and staff, good conversation and great live music. It's not often I give 5 stars but this is the perfect bar. Spent a mid week evening chatting in the tiny bar, watching one of the locals doing magic tricks and having a great time! A hidden gen of a place. Sensational bar, worth a trip to Moy for this place alone. Went in, not realising it was cash only. Eoin, the barman gave us the pints for free as we had none and gave us a tour around the place telling us about the history of the place. An absolute gentleman. Can’t wait to be back tomorrow ! Amazing place! Lots of history. Friendly people!!
