Zunächst einmal: Das Rundum ist ein schönes Boardinghaus auf einem Hügel in Reichenhall. Die Zimmer sind generell in Ordnung. Wir waren mit einer großen Gruppe da und ich bekam Zimmer 107. Hier stank es vom ersten Tag an. Ich bat die Rezeption um Abhilfe und stellte den Kontakt zum Reinigungspersonal her. Die Dame sagte dann, sie habe nichts feststellen können. Alle Kollegen, die allerdings bei mir auf dem Zimmer waren, wunderten sich über den Gestank. Die Dame lachte und meinte, es könne der leere Kasten Bier sein, der im Zimmer stehe. Oder die Banane, die ich im Zimmer hatte. Ich äußerte, dass dies nicht erklären würde, warum das Zimmer bereits bei Bezug stank. Jedenfalls wurde mein Gesuch abgetan und mir wurde gesagt, ich könne ja am nächsten Tag nochmal anrufen, wenn ich weiter der Meinung bin, es stinke... Die Dame sagte auch noch, dass es abgestandene Luft Ist, wenn ich den ganzen Tag nicht da sei. Also habe ich am Folgetag den ganzen Tag die Terassentür gekippt gelassen. Der Gestank war unverändert, was ein Kollege bestätigte. Natürlich habe ich das nicht gemacht. Der Bierkasten war dann zwar weg, aber wer weiß, was es sonst gewesen wäre. Vielleicht meine getragene Wäsche, die ich im Wäschesack aufbewahre. Außerdem fand ich es ziemlich unangenehm, wie ich konfrontiert wurde. Für mich privat käme das Haus nicht in Frage, aber wer es aus Kostengründen wählt, sollte nicht Zimmer 107 nehmen. Die anderen Kollegen hatten jedenfalls keinen solchen Gestank im Zimmer. Das sind Check-in war hervorragend. Die Dame an der Rezeption war äußerst freundlich und professionell. Sie gab uns wertvolle Informationen und zeigte sich sehr hilfsbereit. Es ist schön zu sehen, wie engagiert die Mitarbeiter des Hotels sind und ihr Bestes geben. Wir würden auf jeden Fall gerne wiederkommen. We arrived around 6:30pm and there is a special check-in process that we had to follow after 5pm. Not a deal breaker at all, you just need to contact the prior to your arrival and they will email you with instructions on how to obtain the key and check you in. The entire was well maintained and clean. Our was on third floor and had a great mountain view which we enjoyed looking at. We had a little kitchen which had everything we needed to prepare quick/simple meals. The main part of the city can be reachable in walking distance (5-7 min), we walked around exploring the main city without needing a car. The was excellent, enjoyed very well and the dining was looking over the mountain as well. And friendly staffs, we would definitely visit here again. The at the Rundum deserves a very special mention of its own. The really has a secret weapon: the pastry chef! Mini sized pastries that not only look beautiful, they taste fabulous and belong in a top five star hotel. And the bread… divine! That’s not to say the rest of is poor - it isn’t. It’s excellent! The cold cuts are delicious - quality over quantity. Little pots of Obatzda and Schweine Schmalz are a delight, as is the selection of jams, fruit and cream cheeses. Cereal is fresh and crisp with a selection of dairy and non dairy milk. The hot food: wonderful Speck, scrambled eggs and Leberkäse. However, the small sausages are tasteless and look unattractive - Nürnberger sausages would be a better fit to the high quality buffet. A large range of speciality teas, a high-class coffee and hot chocolate machine, as well as fruit juices complete the offering. The service in the restaurant is perfect; tables are quickly cleared of used plates, etc and the lovely waitress was very helpful and friendly. The seems to be the best kept secret of Bad Reichenhall. I believe the is only available to guests but at the weekends they could consider opening to non-hotel guests. The citizens of Bad Reichenhall are always on the hunt for a Sekt Früstück and the at the Rumdum would likely be very popular, especially in the summer months when there is outdoor seating. The is excellent in itself - at present one of the very best Bad Reichenhall has to offer. And the breakfast? Wonderful! Super WARNING Stayed here on 06/19/2025. The website says “Our apartments are all equipped with heating and cooling,” and Google says all rooms have “Air Conditioning “. Absolutely not true. The instructions inside the says “Due to it’s design it acts as circulation not air conditioning”When we arrived the was around 85 Degrees F inside and so we set what we thought was the thermostat at 19 Degrees C. We came back from dinner around 9:45. And our was still blazing hot. Again, it is not Air conditioning it is a circulatory fan that barely flows. “Very false advertising. Be very cautious if you are a single traveler as you will need to sleep with your doors open if you want any chance for cool air. I almost never leave reviews unless I have a really good experience but I believe they should remove the words Air Conditioning from any advertising it is simply not true! Otherwise the rooms are very nice and well appointed but do not expect air conditioning.
