It’s not worth to buy the online, there was almost no waiting queue for the office when we went today (13th August, around 11h00?) and that way they can take your Guest Card for a small discount. It’s expensive nonetheless, but we wanted to have this experience. However, you will not see the lake from above if you stay at the panoramic platform, even on the very top. You have to the trail, with uneven stones and no protection (you can easily fall off the trail… and really hurt yourself!), and it can be a workout especially if it is hot. So, not recommended for people with limited mobility. I believe this should be more clear for those buying the tickets to go up, as it can be a disappointment if you don’t want or simply can’t the trail that will lead you to the panoramic with the lake. Also, we parked at the same big parking lot you use when you visit lake Königssee, but couldn’t understand if you could actually park near the funicular station or not (even though Google Maps says you can drive up to there, I believe you have to park at the big parking lot and walk to the station as we did). Decent car. I find it a bit pricy to pay 50e to go to the peak and back. But the are stunning We drove with Jennebahn during the promotion. It was the longest day and shortest night. So we got back in the valley during night. It was really special. Stuff was friendly and professional. Cabins clean. View was amazing and the food was very delicious. Definitely a must see and visit on the list of things to do in berchtesgaden. And a penny machine that's a bonus! An unforgettable experience at Jennerbahn! The weather cleared beautifully after snowfall the day before, creating absolutely stunning winter scenery. Fresh snow covered the mountains, and the from the car and the top were simply breathtaking. Everything felt calm, crisp, and magical – perfect conditions to fully enjoy the Alpine landscape. The ride itself was smooth, well-organized, and very comfortable, with friendly and professional staff throughout. Once at the top, the panoramic over the surrounding peaks and valleys were incredible, making the trip more than worth it. A truly cool and memorable experience in Germany that we would highly recommend in any season. Great views. If you want to down from the very top, it takes over 4-5 hrs. It is very difficult to walk or down on the steep slippery gravel. So, you might need a round trip ticket. A must-visit if you’re in the area. The lift is reasonably priced, but the lifts do close early, so be sure to arrive early to fully enjoy all the fun activities this has to offer. The lift ride to the top takes some time, though children can get off at the mid-station. It was our very first time trying snow sledging—definitely scary at first, but incredibly fun! You can also walk around the mountain, and there are plenty of other activities to enjoy. Boating on the lake and taking the lift up the all in one day, in one place, made for a truly unforgettable experience for us. ❄️🛷✨ Scenic lake view from top, you need to a bit for it but it’s not that long. Has two stops I’d suggest you go to second one and to the top. It was the loveliest day to take the car up to the top of the mountain. While rather pricey, the were worth it. I would definitely suggest buying the trip up to the summit about 1800 m. It’s around 42€ per person. But if your accommodation provides you with a guest card, you will get 4€ off typically. the round trip takes approximately 20 minutes each way. We got to see a lot of skiers ⛷️ on the way up and down! This review focuses on the 'experience', which is fantastic. But the price is really high. We made a choice to buy the return tickets as the weather was not favourable to the family and it cost us 100 Euros + I hope they consider reducing the prices for a family ticket. The view from the top station was beyond words. The car system is very good and one of the best we've seen. Thanks to the operators and team at Jennerbahn they keep it well maintained. The car ride up the was really beautiful. You've got of the Bavarian Alps all around, and you pass over cows grazing on the mountainside with their bells ringing to create an almost idyllic scene. It did cost us nearly $100 for just two people to ride the car up and down the mountain, so that was a little steep (no pun intended). Once we got to the top, there are lots of trails to hike. At the top, my son and I visited the restaurant while my husband and daughter took the last short climb. My son and I enjoyed beverages and sat on the patio to take in the view. It was a terrific way to waste our time whole we waited. It's just amazing. My hubby and daughter said they were glad that took the cli.b, but said it was challenging. They mentioned some large steps, lots of rocks and gravel, and struggling some. However, they both said they were glad they did it. Had a great time taking the car all the way to the top. were spectacular and the ride was smooth. Toilets were clean and comfortable. The tickets might seem a little pricey, but felt worth it when considering the effort to construct a solid and safe car system to the top! There's a restaurant at the top which served delicious food with the views, and you can continue to do more hiking. Just a wonderful time overall.
