Interesting museum but for the tourists. Exhibits are mostly for the tourists and not 100% authentic. Quite expensive as well. Good thing is you get into the bowel of Mont St Michel and can imagine those scary times. All museums, if they can be called that, are a joke, the maritime museum which consists of 3 rooms with extremely old televisions and projections and not in a good way, plus some ships and framed pictures. The Archeoscope Museum, which is a totally boring projection, I got up in the first 5 minutes and left. I am completely disappointed with the experience I had To be avoided. Very expensive with nothing much to see. Clearly a tourist scam, it is managed privately. The “museums” consist of 3 rooms each with objects not connected between them. Horrible! Give your money elsewhere people. Negative experience. The old man in the entrance literally forced us to buy the 4 museum ticket! I told him 2 times that I only wanted to see the musée historique which was 8 per person and he just continued to say that they had a special promotion (18 for the 4 museums) and that it was better to see all four and just picked my husband card and proceeded to pay 36 euros (18x2). Ended up having to pay more than I had planned for and having to visit things that I didn't wanted to! And worse : the attractions are not well maintained, all damaged and dirty. €9 is about €8.50 too much for this attraction. Very poor displays, very dirty and the models look like they have rotted. We only went in as we needed to pass some time before going to the Abbey, even to pass time I wouldn’t bother DONT GO THERE and save your money! I can’t believe they’re allowed to call it museum. It’s more likely a scam and destroys the experience of Mont-saint-michel for us. There’s nothing interesting inside, except for a disgusting smell in some of the rooms. Cost us 24€ which was a reduced price for students. Loved the exhibits! great content but sadly in desperate need of curating. Exhibits not temp or RH controlled and very dusty. They are getting destroyed. 12 euros for 4 "museums" full of rotting and unrelated rubbish in dusty showcases consisting of 2 rooms each "museum", this is a disgrace. It also smells awful and the clerks at the front desk are unfriendly. I'd rather have a colonoscopy than go through this again. Save your money and do something else. Edit: After complaining at the "musee" maritime they offered me my money back.
