Suspect we were the only tourists on this cold but sunny day. The other patrons were probably men working locally, and that's always a sign. The waitress was full of smiles, and very patiently tried her limited English against our bad French. All four of us chose the Menu du Jour. Salad starter followed by cod in a delicious sauce with lovely individual portions of cauliflower cheese gratin. The home made tiramisu, served in individual preserve jars, was wonderful. The restaurant is much bigger than we'd realised. They showed us into a second room which has a hand painted mural of the local scenery running around all four walls, and they have a large garden. Very clean and fresh. The proprietor's and staff are welcoming and attentive. My partner had the steak and chips and said it was very good. I'm a vegetarian, which is a curse in France, but the on special beetroot salad was incredibly tasty and the vegetarian option for the pizza was too. Lovely bread, beer and ice cold water for the table, what more could you want. I would whole heartedly recommend. They always have a 3 course (option of cheese or dessert for 3 rd course) special from upwards of around 20 Euros. Oh almost forgot the coffee is outstanding. Lovely home cooked plat du jour. Great value and friendly service. Well worth a visit. We ate here several times during a holiday in the area in August 2023. The food was lovely and the ambience is very local and friendly. We passed several joyful evenings on the terrace, sometimes with music. Highly recommended. We particularly enjoyed the joues de porc.
