The friendly owner is rightly proud of his food. The home made Mojo is amongst the best we ever had. There are good vegetarian options and a good selection of drinks. And there are several dishes that are hard to find in "normal" restaurants on La Gomera. This is a place where you go to eat but not dine. It is lacking in atmosphere and the outside dining area is a large terrace open to the public and no effort made to make it interesting. The food was beautifully presented the goats cheese excellent - cheese twists without flavour - prawns in batter ok and the calamari was exceptional with their own recipe for the batter. It wasn’t the type of place where you could linger and have an after dinner drink - the house white wine was awful and I couldn’t drink it - I think that because the restaurant is without any atmosphere it takes away from the experience A great little place for lunch opposite the church. Friendly service and Nicely cooked light snacks. The coffee was also good Great food Everything very fresh and home made Highly recommended Very nice owner Jimmy and we were here 3 times Deserts were so good that we had them every time Amazing place 😍 Delicious food, very friendly owner, beautiful view! Will come often. :) Good food, the fresh goat cheese dish was incredible, the seafood soup (sopa de marisco) was good, but there was so little seafood (3-4 pieces!?!) in it, I was expecting a little bit more (perhaps double it?) and was slightly disappointed, but for the price it makes sense. However, flavor was there and it was still delicious. New owners, just re-opened (dec '22), beautiful spot, nice vibe and great food > fish (cherne) is delicious, empanadas too, and there's much more to choose from. Will go there again! Having on several previous occasions had the excellent Tarta de Santiago with a coffee, today after a walk to the Drago tree we had lunch. It was excellent - far better than expected from such a small unassuming bar/restaurant. We chose the Solomillo de Cerdo and a few starters and everything had a really wholesome home cooked taste and appearance. We have visited La Gomera many times over the years and eaten in all sorts of restaurants at various price points and we can honestly say the food here was amongst the best we’ve had. Highly recommend.
