Easy to reserve online and they had a good selection. It was our first time using electric assisted and they were a lot of fun. The shopkeepers were helpful and friendly, and we had a lot of options for additional items like saddle bags, helmets, locks, and repair kits. We took the all the way to Chenonceau, and I’d recommend this shop to anyone looking to do the same. We had a very pleasant experience using the Rouelib 🚲 rental company. The office is very well situated in Amboise and we received very good service. The e-bikes were so easy to handle. The route through the wine yards on the Loire was clearly marked. A beautiful day! Fantastic experience - hired for 3 days and got a great map of the area with recommended routes - which were all fabulous. We also left our at the other shop in Tours, which was very handy whilst we explored, and got equally great service there. Check in / check out of hire took about 5-10 min - very efficient! Rang twice the day before hiring a trailer for the day (without bike), was told 13€ and no possibility of getting the night before. I turn up in the morning and the price is 25€, the cheap price is with a bike, so only 5€ more with a bike. Half day is either 9-12 or 12-19, so morning not worth it. Bike trailer was heavy, hardly any storage, was not centerred with bike, and not a great brand. The man is rude and obnoxious, he rambled on about how he needs a long lunch break and cant help with little things because he's too busy. Go to the shop across the river, the guys seemed much nicer on the phone, and cheaper. They worked with 6 crazy Americans and we were happy with the bikes. we swithed one out for a gravel no problem. decent and very easy Our tour company, Discover France, sent us here when the they provided had failing brakes - the rear did not work at all, and the front made a horrendous scraping sound. Our tour consultant had contacted.ROUE LIB the night before, and they were aware that we were coming in with a problem. The store agent squeezed each break while the bicycle was stationary; he said the rear needed fluid and that he didn’t have any in the store that he had it at home. He said the front was fine. this store seems like a good place to go if you want to waste your time. (Our tour agent replaced the bicycle.) The ride from Amboise too Chenonceau was lovely, and my was fine, but for my wife the battery was not inserted properly and fell out after 100m. We went back to the shop and they fixed that, then at the first hill it became clear that the electric motor wasn't working, so we had to go back again and swap the bike. You would think that a shop renting out every day would have better management of their equipment.
