Giovedì, 29 agosto 2022. Torno dopo anni alla cascata del Sasso. Mi ci aveva portato Laura e ricordo che era stata una visita fugace; non deludente, ma neppure sorprendente. Del resto, dal parapetto non si avverte la maestosità della cascata. Oggi ho voluto seguire il sentiero e raggiungere il punto da cui l'acqua si butta di sotto. Ha una viciona grossa ed è bella cicciona! Localizada a 7,5 km de Urbania e 1,5 km de Sant'Angelo in Vado, fica na zona industrial destacidade. Podemos observá-la tanto na parte superior, onde foi construído um miradouro, como na parte inferior, mais sugestiva e espetacular. É a maior cachoeira que o Metauro possui, com 12 metros de altura e 60 metros de largura,considerada uma das dez mais belas da Itália. A cachoeira do Sasso originou-se da presença de um banco de camadas calcárias dispostas em reggipoggio e, portanto, mais resistentes à erosão fluvial. Para visitar a cachoeira por baixo, é necessário acessar o rio por uma passagem localizada com uma casa reformada, o Mulino del Sasso, que conserva poucos vestígios das estruturas funcionais do moinho original. What could have been a beautiful tourist spot, the trail of rubbish and remains of human defecation absolutely ruined it! Grazie agli strati calcarei marnosi inclinati le acque del fiume Metauro scivolano senza eroderli precipitando le acque in un salto spettacolare. La sua lunghezza è sui 60 metri, mentre l'altezza è sui 15 metri, risultando tra le 10 più belle cascate d'Italia. Grazie al bel contesto fluviale in cui è inserita è diventata da tempo un'area demaniale protetta. La sovrastante area di sosta permette un'ampia visione della cascata, offre informazioni dettagliate con tabelle e tavoli e sedie per un rilassante pic nic tra amici o parenti. Avevo sentito parlare di questa cascata . Trovandomi da quelle parti ho pensato di andare a vederla. Sicuramente non pensavo fosse a ridosso di una zona industriale,cmq il fatto che abbiano creato una piccola area pic nic aiuta a creare un certo effetto paesaggistico. Bella la cascata ma difficile fare belle foto,verde non curato sentiero malformato e scivoloso. Peccato meriterebbe un po' di cura in più . Beautiful waterfall tucked away with a small picnic area. There's a bunch of feral cats around, some are friendly most are skittish. There's really no parking although because it's in the middle of nowhere we just parked on the side of the road. Overall pretty place, I recommend stopping for a quick look of you're up that way.
