Area CAMPER PARK Villefranche Beaujolais

Villefranche-sur-Saône, France RV park

Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Quiet stopover convenient for motorway north or south but get there early to get a hardstanding pitch in winter or be prepared for mud. Unlucky we were there during heavy rain, the ground was very soft and several camper vans were stuck. But as expected campers help campers, was pulled free without problems. Otherwise, electricity, water and disposal is available. The showers locked as usual. Avoid if wet. Otherwise good stop over. Beautiful spot and happy it was open year round. Toilet and shower blocks are closed in the winter so you have to be self sufficient. Also, I had to buy a €5 pass to pay for my here. Not all camper park spots need the pass, some you just pay per night. This is a lovely spot on the riverside but the grass spaces were very wet, it needs more hardstanding spaces. The service points could also do with updating. Very nice and quite place by the river. Perfect place if you have a fog for walking. Restaurant , toilets and showers were closed. You need a special card to get in. You buy it from the gate there. We loved it! Huge area with many well spaced out pitches right next to the river and a swimming lake . 15 euros camping carpark card . 16 amp ehu . Included . No toilets or showers working when we were here but this is second week in September. Needs a mow, but ex municipal type feel, some old buildings and ageing infrastructure. Nice enough Large site with plenty of space and large pitches. Don't be fooled by the board at the entrance that quotes €13 for 24hrs Limited number of hardstanding pitches but electricity included and grey/black dispoal. A huge Lidl 20min walk away Large Aire with good size pitches, situated near a river and other amenities, pitches are well maintained and some have hard standing. This Arie is operated by Camping Car and access is possible by using the Camping Cap App or by using the payment system at the gate. There are multiple grey and CDP waste points and a recycling/rubbish area, some of the electrical points were not working and a European plug adapter was needed to connect, as were from the UK we also needed to use our cross polarity adapter. We stopped over for 1 whilst travelling towards the south coast, we chose this Aire due to its close proximity to the motorway, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend and use again. Fees €15.80 for 24hrs Facilities included; Motorhomes and campervans under 6m allowed Motorhomes & campervans over 6m allowed Hard standing & grass parking Electric hook up Fresh water tap Grey waste disposal Chemical disposal (Toilet cassette) Dogs allowed Wi-fi Awnings allowed Not good which is a shame as lovely Riverside location. Had to phone to get in as card didn't work, phone to get out as wouldn't work to get out either! Staff on the phone were helpful. No showers no toilets even though it says there are and no sleep due to VERY loud music / party until 0420hrs just across the river, will never stay there again!! Also 13 euro quote is not correct, cost us 18 and for no facilities!!! So many better places to stay. Very disappointed! The spots are spacious and access is easy but it is expensive considering there were no facilities and especially if you are planning on a one only stay. All-in-all we paid €25 for one night: €15 one stay, €5 for a pass and €5 left on the pass since you can only prepay €10, €20, €30 or more. Mid November, no toilet or shower. Very difficult to purchase, app dose not accept icelandic phone numbers.
