Very good attraction, well conceived and maintained. You can really see the tarsier but somebody is putting one of them into your hands and taking pictures and video for you, nice experience. People are really friendly. You are welcomed by a local music band in costumes reminding me mexican instruments and songs. All along you can see animals, rabbits and others. But also big pythons and you can even put them on your shoulders, some people are scared but its not dangerous at all. The in the net are not at all worth it. A very good experience, worth a very reasonable entry price. Inside got a lot of animal to see, we take photo with real butterfly and the skills of their staff for taking photo is really awesome! U can also take a picture with the golden python, for me is a wonderful experiece and it is free of charge or u want buy the picture from them as souvenir also can support them. Here got bird, crocodile, and a lot of of special spices aminal here, highly recommend. The trip here is very short (as in isang ikot lang), the entrance fee was expensive, not worth that experience. were not that much. I feel like the here were suffocated (you can feel it, they are stressed). Buti nalang, the kalaw bird gave me a little bit of happy memories by having mutual telepathy😆. I'm not sure what to say.. 100 pesos is too much for this "zoo". The probably had an okay life. But the other animals, not so much. Especially the eagle. They're not supposed to be in a cage, but be free. The crocodiles would most likely have a better life in better conditions. In kne way, 100 pesos might give these a better life, but I doubt it. Your pesos probably go to the staff's weekend party at the beach 🤷‍♂️ Bohol Lemur and Butterfly Sanctuary offers a quick yet delightful stop to see playful lemurs and colorful up close. The guides are friendly and share interesting facts about the animals. It’s a small place but worth a short visit if you’re in the area and enjoy nature encounters. I wish they should stop including this on the Bohol countryside itinerary list. Not something Bohol should be proud of to promote this tourist stop. This is not what a sanctuary looks like. We were shocked that it is not only but more were kept on cramped cages. They have explained they are asleep at night but they wake them up for the tourists. The place is untidy and it seems like the are being exploited here. If only we had known this is the place we will visit, we would have skipped it. Misleading and Deeply Unethical Experience at the “Butterfly Farm” in Bohol This place was advertised as a butterfly farm, but the name is deeply misleading. While there was one small room with butterflies, the vast majority of the site was in fact a miniature zoo, where a handful of wild are kept in cramped, completely inappropriate enclosures. The conditions are inhumane. are confined to tiny cages, with no regard for their basic physical or psychological needs. The enclosure for the crocodiles, in particular, was alarmingly small and unacceptable. Some were visibly trembling from stress, yet tourists were allowed to enter the cages and touch them – causing even more fear and distress. This is not a sanctuary or a farm. It is a cruel tourist trap that exploits for entertainment. There is no educational value, no conservation effort – just a disturbing display of neglect and suffering, disguised as a light-hearted stop for tourists. The entire site is very small, poorly maintained, and absolutely not worth a visit – especially if you care about ethical treatment of animals. As a traveler who values responsible tourism and basic compassion, I found this experience heartbreaking, backward, and unacceptable. Places like this should not be supported, and I strongly urge others to stay away unless serious changes are made. Rating 0/5: do not recommend visiting this place under any circumstances. The start where picking them up to have them in the photos. Alligators kept in tiny cages with barely any water and the water they did have was a dark brown. They had various birds and snakes all kept in tiny concrete cages. Absolutely awful, this place should be shut down.
