Went to this zoo/animal park with some family members on our 2nd day in Bohol. I’ll admit, I was really surprised by the stop over here especially with the pythons that we were given to opportunity to pet. There were other including hawks, lovebirds, peacocks, parrots, monkeys and many more. Looking back in hindsight as well as several comments on the place, I also agree that the enclosures are a bit for some of the and I do have to question if they are adequately fed as I saw when my cousin was holding out a piece of food to feed one of the monkeys, another monkey came in and punched the other one in the face to grab the piece of food. Of course this just speculation. The enclosure was beautiful with several butterflies flying around and landing near us to take photos. The workers were helpful in getting us great photos with the butterflies for a fee of 20 pesos. Overall it was a good experience seeing the wide variety of animals. Just hope that they can improve the conditions for the themselves. This stop over was part of a tour we picked cause we don’t wanna do tarsiers lol. There’s barely any butterflies 🦋 I counted like three moths brown butterflies that’s it. It’s a zoo nothing else to see but strange (Late review) . . . Back in October 2022, I had one of the most unforgettable experiences at Xzootic Animal Park in Loboc, Bohol. I honestly never thought I could do this...I usually get scared even with tiny worms and caterpillars...but that day, I faced my fear in the most incredible way. Not only did I get to hold a huge python, but I also carried their biggest and longest Albino Burmese Python...a stunning yellow and white snake that was so heavy! 🐍✨ At first, I was very nervous, but the staff were really supportive, making sure I felt safe and comfortable the whole time. What I thought would be a terrifying moment turned into something thrilling, peaceful, and truly unforgettable. Aside from the snakes, the park also has a garden and other unique attractions that make it such a worthwhile visit. Whether you’re with family, friends, or just looking for a new adventure in Bohol, this place offers an experience you won’t forget. If you’re traveling to the island, I highly recommend stopping by Xzootic Animal Park...it’s a once-in-a-lifetime adventure that left me with memories I’ll treasure forever. 🌸🐍🦋 There was one let me clarify 1 at the supposed sanctuary. The people operating came up the clearly false explanation saying it was due to rain however the butterfly’s are inside and are fine. Furthermore this place promotes animal cruelty with tiny spaces for that need space. If you love hurting come here. If not go anywhere else you will be much happier but very cool zoo. The lady we had taking us around was really good. She has great knowledge and a funny sense of humour. She basically high jacked my phone and got some amazing shots for my wife and I. Well worth a visit! Told it was a park and was underwhelmed. Otherwise wouldn’t have paid to go in if we knew what it was like. Snakes seemed sedated not reacting with so many people area… something shady going on. Otherwise and dirty cages, looked fine. Found it disgusting and wanted to leave asap. It would have been nice if they allowed us to touch the snakes. But it wasn't. For feeding birds, you can buy the seeds at the ticket counter. Else not recommended. They have really less number of or not. I went here as part of a bigger tour and was advertised to us as a sanctuary. If I had known what it was like I wouldn’t have paid money to go in. The were kept in tiny, bare cages. It was so sad to see! The birds looked so depressed and the poor monkeys had no space to climb. There was a crocodile in a cage with a tiny amount of water. The snakes all looked sedated and didn’t move. Wouldn’t recommend going here!!
