The paintings on the walls show the death of St. Philomena who was martyred about the age of 14 years. Also in the Basilica you will see the incorrupt body Holy Cure of Ars ( St John Vianney ) in a glass reliquary. Beside the basilica is the Chaplet ( Shrine of the Holy Cure's Heart ) that has his heart. The visit to the Sanctuary of Ars was the best part of our trip to France 😍 We were paying a visit and promised to the Saint of Ars because he made a HUGE miracle in our family and the opportunity to go there, visit his village, home, the Basilica, and the small town… was magical. This place is something else… you can feel the peace and love in the atmosphere and we would recommended to everybody 🙏 We will come back soon to pay tribute to the Holy Saint. 😇 Beautiful Place and history. Blessed little shrine and you can also visit St. John Vianney's house where they left his room as it was when he lived there. Well worth visiting this beautiful shrine.
