It's the holidays and we've paid a visit to this today (Feb). We had a lovely day and enjoyed watching the from the relaxation and the convenience of your own car. Along the long loop there are several spots where you can stop and get out of your car to the animals. At the entrance there's a section for monkeys and birds, other and also a spacious playground. Here's some useful info that I wish I knew: - the lady at the ticket counter closed the door at 13:50, stood up, walked away and left the car (so, apparently it closes early). However you can still stay in the once you've bought your tickets and you're inside. - normal toilets are only at the entrance. - bring your own food and drinks, because there's absolutely nothing available during winter. The is closed. There's even no coffee machine. - it's muddy, you'll get dirty. - animal food costs €1 per box. - despite what everyone is doing, you are not allowed to the with the exception of the viewing area building. - also don't touch the animals, despite what everyone else is doing. park! You start with an 8km route by car. This is nice, but a bit too long. During this route you can stop several times to watch the upclose. You can also the there (you can buy a box of food dor €1 at the entrance and at the stops). After this you can your car and walk around in an area with a restaurant, playground and caged animals. The is very for kids, but a bit boring for adults. The entrance fee is okay; €15 for adults What a great time! We went when the opened. No rush or crowds. The showed up and ate from our hands while we were in the grandstands. At the end there's a couple fun slides, more to pet and feed, and a little Cafe for a bite to eat. Every staff member we encountered was polite and helpful. We don't have but I highly recommend families take their littles! Beautiful wildlife definitely a recommendation. You drive yourself between the most of these are living as well in Europe. After a drive with different parking the experience ends at the restaurant. Very decent price for good German food. For children there is so much to do. I will definitely come back against again. Coooool place! Love it!! Best to go during the week though so it's not too full. You can get food for the in various spots throughout the park. There are also spots where you can picnic away from the and a restaurant. The petting zoo is adorable and the wild bird show is fun (and in German) and impressive. Very park. To bad that even with very weather the shop and were closed This is a great place to visit with kids!! A great drive around with lots of parking places to stop and the friendly animals. We particularly enjoyed feeding the donkeys. The is also good and pretty cheap for lunch - our children enjoyed the whilst we were waiting for food. Some things to take note: when we first arrived, we genuinely thought the place was closed… there were ticket booths but no one there and no way to get in. So up in the car outside then walk in to the ticket office to get tickets first! The drive around is very uneven, bumpy and loose gravel - also a big drop on one side in many places so take care when driving. The is big and it’s easy to keep yourself entertained. I went into the petting zoo area to some with my and couldn’t help but notice the ducks had a “pond” that was just green mud that they pushed themselves through and drank. Also it didn’t seem that the mess had been cleaned up in some time. I don’t think the environment is suitable for some of the kept here. We have very lovely time there ❤️ perfect time to spend with the family and with there, I definitely come again and again to visit the . Good experience with animals! I liked it! You can only arrive there and do the actual “safari” having your own car, so wouldn’t recommend that for backpackers. There are some playgrounds for kids. Restaurant, and i think enough toilets. Overall really cute place for family weekday. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed the being amongst the animals. We could fill a full day and had lunch in the restaurant, which is very child friendly. While driving along the German roads we accidentally spotted the signs towards this wildlife park. Decided to check it out and the safari ride along the trail was excellent fun! Make sure you have some ground clearance though ^_^ your Nürnbergring car won’t make it ;) I went to this in the afternoon and there where still outside. there isn't a big variety but you can see them and give them food. After that there is a playground and every day there is a bird show at 11 o'clock and at 15 o'clock. The playground is for the most part free but there are some attractions where you need to pay 1 euro. I would reconment it it is a lot of fun and the playground is BIG. Also there is a roddelbahn what is also a experience. A kid got kicked by a donkey and a woman got headbutted by a deer. 10/10 experience, would recommend.
