Lovely. Food is clean and tidy. Won't be to everyone's expected level of posh. But its very well priced. Its brilliant for light lunch where you want some peace and quiet Very slow service, I had my 5 mins before my husband, I had nearly finished mine.Only toilet is a porta loo. Update for 2023 As the New Pizza oven is causing somewhat of a stur in the local community, it only seems right to sample it's delights again....and oh my what a fantastic evening in beautiful surroundings, superb helpful and staff as always, thanks for a brilliant evening. The pizzas (Margarita, Pepperoni and BBQ Chicken) were fantastic and the Garlic pizza with cheese was out of this world good 👌 Thank you again guys and we promise to be back soon, even if only for a takeaway 👍 We popped in for an early morning and were not disappointed, lovely and very staff. Looking forward to going back. Brilliant Trout fishery Just spent a wonderful day at Paper Mill Fishery. The water was clear, the were cruising and the setting was superb. Well maintained lake, vegetation cut low and no issues with the back-cast. A popular place for breakfast, which I also appreciated. Generous and sensibly priced. Summary - a great venue, a great place for a Really atmosphere. Delicious food and coffee. Beautiful views. Excellent vegetarian options. And brown toast available on request. Ramp for easy access. You can tailor your to what you want. It is on the small side inside but they provide outside eating areas. There can be a long wait on busy times. It's a family run business I think so they closed for Father's Day for example but they usually post on Facebook of closing times due to holidays etc. "Comfortable", "convenient, & "minimum effort". These are words that first come to mind when I think about my 2 trips to Paper Mill fishery. I wasn't there to spend a deal of time in the loo so will not be basing my opinion on it. I was happy that there was one however. I did try their drinks, their food & the all of which were fantastic. The grounds and lake are meticulously maintained and it's easy to move about which must be why it's also very popular with the elderly. You can tell the owner and the folks in the cafe care about the place. They are easy to talk to and they make you feel welcome there. I think the only suggestions I would make is to have a fridge available to store catches & perhaps to have fishermen rotate pegs. I also observed that some fishermen will arrive an hour or more before opening time in order to dibs a peg - then they'll go and pay so be forewarned, the best pegs go before you pay. I whole heartedly love this place (hence the 5* rating) & work around the minor observations mentioned above because I am a fisherman and an easy peg does not make me a better fisherman. The are of excellent quality & fight very hard. They have a perfect average size and they taste like Salmon to me instead of pellets / trout feed. It's easy to quickly catch 2 so do yourself a favour and buy a 3 ticket or more if you plan on making a day of it. Came here a few days ago and only my 3rd time fly fishing. Reasonably priced for a good lovely staff and beautiful views The at Paper Mill Fisher cafe cannot be faulted. It is delicious, it is piping hot and great value. Always gutted its closed on Monday/Tuesday when we forget and turn up there. No wonder it is always busy..... loads of workmen know its great value ! Great fishery,Fish in perfect condition and fight well above their weight. Had a very successful day today catching 3 perfect and well fought Rainbow trout, lost a few more on blue flash damsel. All 3 trout where caught on Blobs: x1 Orange x1 Tequila x1 Red Looking forward to my next visit when I'm next in Swansea. Tight lines 🎣 Had here this morning. It was lovely. Real milky coffee which was a rare treat. Staff and service were and everyone made us feel very welcome. Would highly recommend. Oh and we didn't either. Will definitely be back. Came to use the sauna and cold plunge pool, with my sisters, one of whom lives locally. Absolutely loved it!! Immaculate site, beautiful setting and such owners. Stopped for too which was beautiful, and so well priced. Definitely be back for a visit, well done!! Me and my partner fished today first time here was brilliant day. Owner really nice bloke came had a chat girls in the cafe were really on arrival. Managed to have couple out as well and my parenter having her first catch fly fishing.
