Only had a drink in here but we sat in the snug as that's the only part that's dog but the locals there were and talkative. Food looked and will have a meal next time up. Great place for a meal or just a drink with friends. We went for a birthday lunch, and our friend booked the table. He mentioned that this pub is quite famous and dates back to the 15th century — over 100 years old! The interior inside the pub is amazing, full of charm and character. Our food was fantastic, and I’m glad we didn’t order appetizers because the portions were very generous. I had the cod, while my friends enjoyed the chicken and gammon steak — all of which were delicious. The was excellent, with staff regularly checking in to ensure everything was perfect. It’s a great spot, and I’d highly recommend it if you’re in the area! 1st time here & it was a very experience. Booked a table for 2 @ 5pm on a Saturday. We arrived on a really nice summers evening & all of the garden table were occupied (a sign) Service: 10/10 Very quick, polite & knowledgeable. Atmosphere: 10/10 Typical country pub. Food: 10/10 A little more expensive than other establishments we have visited but we'll worth the money as the food was of superb quality. Toilets: 10/10 Spotless. I'm not sure if there is an overflow car park but we grabbed the last space in the main car park which is not very large. Overall experience: 10/10 Will definitely return & recommended to family and friends. Birthday Treat and stunning food as always and welcoming love this pub. Had the surf n turf and my usual fudge cake to finish, Bro in law had the humongous mix grill and MIL had her favourite glamorgan sausage. Love this ancient pub with so much history. Beautiful spot and great home cooked food with massive portions. Fab place for fab pub grub!!! Definitely for big eaters as my fish goujons were the size of a shark, and I had 6 🦈🤣. Lovely staff very and very helpful.. Spent the whole afternoon there catching up with friends. Plenty of red wine flowing. Big bonus my dog joined us and enjoyed too. Fab food fab service.. Excellent value for money. It's not my 1st time here, I've been here lots. They do an amazing Sunday lunch too. Well worth popping in I guarantee you. Great food. service. And fast food from the kitchen Lovely place, full of fantastic energy and enthusiastic people, could of stayed all night. Dog and family friendly, popular place, parked on lane, great food, generous portions - thank you for having us Great by all the waitresses , very organised in getting all the food out together. We was a table of 14 and all the food came out at the same time. We had the Sunday dinner and there was ample veg and gravy boats provided. Food was flavoursome and tasty. The pub was welcoming and all staff went above and beyond. We loved the roaring fires dotted around it really made the atmosphere cosy Really impressed we had vegetable soup as a snack which was thick and tasty. Looking at other dishes around us proportions and not pricey, would recommend them. We'll be treating this pub as a pitstop on our way to and from West Wales What a welcome!!! We didn't stay for food, which smelled amazing, but popped in for a drink with our dog. Some lovely locals made us welcome at their table. Thank you! Great food and first class. This was our first time here and we were extremely pleased with the and quality of food. The staff were incredibly and polite and was impeccable. Most definitely visit again! We had a funeral here and the was excellent and the food quality. Nice little pub. It's probably best to book as very popular. Fish and chips are always good. We also had the steak which was also and cooked as ordered.
