Excellent pool, 3mt deep end, large free car park, disabled facilities. Large play area opposite, tennis courts, skate board track, five a side football enclosed pitch, by picturesque river Calder I'd used the many years ago, as I was in the industry at the time and nice to see a face from the past on reception. Both my sons were training today and I bought a month's membership for the youngest so he could make his own mind up of the available in the future; swimming, etc. I'm sure a group session was being set up as many individuals in reception being waved through. Plenty of parking on the two car parks but also pavement parking if needed. First time back to Padiham in 37 years. Used to frequent the facility a couple of times a week throughout my childhood. It's changed somewhat, but it looks to be a well used community facility. A well equipped and used venue by local people. Loads of classes, gym equipment, and pool. Be aware though that in mornings there are many who treat the as a social chit chat so if you're trying to swim you have to navigate a field of people nattering and/or swimming against the flow. There are also frequent school lessons which isn't too bad. Swimming instructors are great with the kids. Nice clean. Good customer service Gym decent Sauna and steam room brilliant Nipped in for a cool down swim whilst on holiday, blown away by the and lovely clean facilities. All were exceptionally helpful and friendly, but Alex in particular stood out, taking the time to help a disabled mum of two young girls have the best swimming experience. My 5 year old went from clinging on as if her life depended on it to confidently moving around the thanks to his help and encouragement. Getting small toys and floats and cheering her on all the way. Sometimes the smallest things make the biggest differences and Alex really did today! The and steam room have be modernised. With new seating in both rooms and has better lighting. Worth a visit. Reasonably priced and good The gym was designed by a 40 year old crossfiter called Karen she wasn’t too happy when I told her putting a bench press under a direct light was stupid… the only guy who was actually weight lifting was using the squat rack to bench instead of your bench rack :) Karen when you read this know 3 of your own told me about you “blowing up on customers” so I enjoyed you hissy fitty you big baby gl with your tiny CrossFit gym at £35 a month Really great little local leisure centre. Reasonable monthly rates also get you into other local gyms and pools. Padiham has great and it's a friendly atmosphere I have been an annual member with Padiham leisure centre for the last 8 months My experience has been secoud to none. The are polite.... especially wonderful Wendy and the rest of the front of house. If only I knew their name ...I would mention and highlight. There have been times when I have overheard grumbling about sauna/ steam room doors not shutting as well as it should...however I have only had positive experiences. My only criticism...would be to not have music playing...or change the loop....maybe have a bit of genre mix...or even karaoke. Keep up the excellent work and be polite to those who differ in my opinion...as Padiham leisure centre will and can only become even more popular. Thank you to you all. It is is difficult to please everyone....but ... everyone needs pleasing...as they keep you in employment. Regards Tricky Trev As a gym member it's an excellent gym that's recently been renovated. There's 6 treadmills, rowing machines and gym equipment. There's a cycling room with 9 bikes to do a class in. The classes are brilliant and the are very helpful and attentive. Doesn't look like much from outside but it's really nice inside. I highly recommend. Swimming and changing areas are also clean and modern. Been going to Padiham leisure centre since I was a child learning to swim. It's a great place that has modernised and caters for nearly all you could ask for from a sports centre. Great and friendly staff Clean, lots of choices to choose from, gym ,pool, classes and much more 💪 I've been visiting Padiham Leisure Centre for a few year and the and the are great. I hope to be enjoying it for many years to come. I never met management like it, if you value your sanity don't complain. Belligerent, self justifying and not interested in patrons feedback. I have been going many years and was very disappointed by there response to a genuine safety complaint. Me and my brother have gone in yesterday, paid 10 pound day passes for and steam. We've not been told that any of the are faulty. Only used the steam once and saw the was shut. Asked for a refund and was declined. Horrible customer service. Horrible experience. Also very dirty facility. Place was absolutely fine and was a decent size, went with our baby (9month old) Problem was there was kids 15-16 screaming, splashing and throwing balls around (quite hard) that nearly hit my daughter, wasn’t just me affected in the I spoke to a few people that weren’t happy AT ALL! Got to the changing rooms and I couldn’t wait to get out, as they followed screaming and shouting in there! Need to grow up and lifeguards need to do a better job of telling them! Shame as it’s not far from our home ☹️ Have to say this local gym is the best around. The facilities, the gym, the classes are very well equipped. The are so helpful and always have a pleasant greeting and smile for you. Makes a pleasant change for customer care and service. Very disappointed in today's swim. My girlfriend and I paid £5.50 each to be told 2 minutes in that we couldn't swim anywhere we couldn't stand. No explanation as why. Meanwhile a group of young boys were allowed to dive bomb and do everything they wanted no matter where they could stand. It felt embarrassing to just be swimming widths when we paid for the full service of the pool. Even an explanation would have been nice, but just some enforced rule we weren't warned about prior Go for gym and swimming - clean and friendly Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
