Great day out with the kids. From all ages Tod Sport Centre is a medium/small sports centre, though it has outside facilities to add to it. Inside is 1 pretty small pool, which offers a small selection of classes and nice swim sessions. There is a "changing place" disabled changing room, a team changing room, and then individual and family stalls. There are plenty of lockers, which are of ample size. The showers are okay, though they did have a big issue with the temperature of them recently being freezing. I think it's been addressed at last now. The can be a touch cool in my experience, but I am physically unable to do huge amounts, and maybe that's why I feel it's a bit too cool. I do see some bright, warm faces on other swimmers, so I imagine it's pretty OK in reality. My little do the aqua tots class, and my eldest does swimming lessons, and they are mostly pretty good. There is a little with jacuzzi and sauna that I think members can use, but I don't know as I haven't used them since I was in my late teens and I'm now 40!! Upstairs (which can be accessed via a lift) is the gym and the classrooms. It's all okay, though again, not a huge space. I can't comment on the quality of this part as I've not used them. They do parties and parties based in the gym classrooms for kids, which are good, and then you can rent a for the "party meal" which you have to provide. It's a space for this kind of thing, but nothing special, really. Outside, there are tennis and football courts that can be hired and there are football lessons for too. It's an okay place with nice staff, but it can seem a bit pricey in some ways, but it could just be me! range of gym equipment, parking facilities, and the is always clean. Only downside and its no one's fault really is the size of the gym it can be quite cramped when busy and sometimes when using certain machines can end up elbowing the person next you. But this is a building issue. Staff are fantastic and knowledgeable. Only ever use this gym. To be honest, the spa area is very poor, the spa area rundown, and dirty the showers are usually always cold and a door to cupboard in shower area completely rotten the pipes are aged scruffy and covers have long since fallen off, the tiles on the floor are in a state and the one drain in middle over fills so the dirty water fills half the floor hence i always use flip flops in the whole area, the steam is in need of a bleaching Inc the seating in it and regular proper cleaning, the seal on the door knackered, the jacuzzi is full of freezing water and the floor cleaning machine they use to clean the floors smelled so bad of dirty/rancid water, i don't think they have cleaned that for a long time,shame because staff are lovely. Staff was very helpful and lovely person Have been with all the family for the past week. The has helped my grandson become a very confident swimmer. All of the staff are lovely. Incredible place offering so many activities at affordable prices, relaxed and pleasant atmosphere created by excellent staff, clean and well planned out facilities, a welcoming and supportive place to be, heartfelt thanks to all involved! This was a terrible experience. Changing was filthy with stained walls and corners of the floor which were disgusting and full of dirt that have clearly not been cleaned. Women's toilet,sinks and shower taps were so dirty I went home to shower. I complained to a lovely young woman who said she couldn't say why it was in this state. She agreed to clean areas I showed her right away. However I should not have to complain. The cleaning standard is way below parr. I am very disappointed as this is my first visit here in years Unfortunately NOT a review! Just been with my 2 young today. 13/02/24. Firstly, the price is shockingly high. Cost me nearly £17 for 1 adult and 2 young children!!!! Changing rooms are very narrow, no family changing rooms so wasn't a nice experience trying to change myself and the kids! And the water is far too cold! Had to get the out after 30minutes as both were blue and shivering. Will not be taking them there again!
