I played the course on Friday 23 August and although it looked lovely from the clubhouse, none of the bunkers had been raked and the greens were covered in worm casts. As we are a golf society with a decent amount of people timing is crucial to making the day go well Bacon Butties and Coffee were ready on arrival, Lunch was served when asked for and was staggered for people who arrived late and the evening meal was bang on time too. The course was in brilliant condition, the greens ran true all day and it was to see the Green out on site all day keeping the course the way a course should be kept. The bar and members were really friendly too, the members were interested to know where we had come from and what we though of the course. I never leave reviews but couldn’t let this go today. £45 a round to play on a farmers field. It was one of the worst golf clubs I’ve played. I couldn’t understand why it was in such poor condition the weather hasn’t been that bad. I played vale royal abbey last Sunday for the same price and that was immaculate! Should be ashamed to charge visitors that price! For a club like that with the amount of members you have you should invest in the course. Disgraceful got to the 10 hole 4 ball playing 3 ball waiting we played 9 holes following 2 ball no problem 2 ball walk off after seeing the situation went to see manager of golf course he said what can i do .so in my opinion its not acceptable if the 2 ball hadn't walked off we would be waiting behind 9 players with no offer of partial refund or to book another day due to the situation.i booked at 11.40 am .It was 1 pm when i complained to the manager very unprofessional and arrogant. total cost £110 for nine holes Following my mum's funeral on Wednesday we came to Leyland Golf Club for food and refreshments. Jill and were brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They were so kind and considerate. We had a hot and cold buffet which was very nice. We had 3 people who are gluten intolerant and they had gammon dinners which I'm told were very good too.
