The facility offers youngsters in the area and beyond to undertake a healthy sports activity in a safe inexpensive environment. Well worth a visit especially if planning a future skiing house. Got the kids and missus skiing lessons for Xmas which were reasonably priced for 4 lessons whilst I just paid on the day for a casual ski session. The kids loved the lessons and the lady who was teaching was really professional and good with the kids. All the gear was good for amateurs like us Great local activity centre. Friendly staff, great coffee. Took the boy for a lesson in the kindergarten session today, was amazing, he loved it and the instructors was great with him. Highly recommend it Good facilities, nice cafe and ski prep area. Well organised races but the is quite bumpy and steep, and the matting not very grippy on the main so maybe not the best to visit as a beginner racer, although I have some great memories racing here as an under 10! The freestyle has potential to be brilliant but doesn’t seem very well maintained. What a dump! I visited here as I had a free afternoon...on arrival I walked up the steps to take a look around. I'd not been here for years so I was looking forward to doing a bit of snowboarding. The slopes looked very tired with weeds and grass growing throughout, some parts were even abandoned. I went to reception to ask about prices and the lady didn't seem to want to help, she just handed me a leaflet and came across a little rude. There was apparently some sort of ski school lessons on the main so one half was completely out of use. The intermediate slope/fun park was completely abandoned and derelict so that wasn't available either. This just left a small section available to use for £23! Chill Factore in Manchester is of a similar price and has real snow! I politely declined and swiftly left...never to return again. Took my eldest son here to try out tubing on the slopes. I had accidentally booked for the day prior and only realised when checking in at reception. Thankfully the lady there was so understanding and allowed us to go on the slopes as planned at no additional cost (even though it was entirely my mistake!). Honestly I couldn’t ask for more. Fantastic and friendly service from both reception and on the slopes and my son absolutely loved tubing. We will definitely be back, probably to try skiing or snowboarding next. Thanks again. Group booking,...booked for an hour..instructor was a nice guy..all staff were cool-as a matter of fact. Heavy rain when we went..still a lot of fun. They loved it and would really recommend it. Especially if you want to tire the kids out all the running up and down the do.
