We have just stopped here on our way to Caen and the ferry. It multitasks as a bar, local restaurant and truckstop with a formule menu....starter, main, cheese, desert and wine, cider or lemonade. Food is homemade, tasty and hearty. We were beaten after 2 courses but the lovely owner let us take our cheese course with us for the ferry. Amazing value and highly recommended. Called in for late lunch on the way to the ferry. Plat de jour for 17 euros was amazing value. The quality of food,prepared on site, was exceptional. Excellent choice of salad stater, Confit of duck with mixed beans and frites was delicious, I had to pass on the excellent cheeseboard, but the homemade chocolate mousse ( which I was able to serve myself from the large dish it was made in), was the best I've had for a long while. When we saw the full parking place we knew we had to go there for lunch. And did we enjoy it! The food, the atmosphere, our friendly waitress Stella is was all superb! We’ll be back!
