Been to Celina a few times before but never knew of this park. It's a pretty place for a town the size of Celina. Several ball fields, shelter houses, and a little lake with a beach for swimming. New at this is a disc golf course. The seems reasonably well maintained. The first 9 holes use the white baskets, 10 thru 18 use the same tees but you target the red, white and blue baskets. This is a 51 acre located on the east side of Celina. There are existing 4 baseball diamonds, 2 batting cages, 2 football fields, 6 shelter houses, 6 restroom, 11 acre pond, playground equipment, walking path, and 4 pickleball courts. It is a well kept with plenty of mature trees. We clean quite location. Great for walking the dogs. About a mile around. Lots of benches to just sit and relax. Restrooms are modern and clean. During the last snow the walks weren't cleaned for two days, then 3/4 around the path snow plowing just stopped. Had to walk through knee high snow. place to walk,fish , remote control boats ,cook outs etc,play baseball! Lots of trees and a pond to cool off in too. The only problem is the sand beach area. The city seems to have mostly given up on taking care of it, so it's full of goose poop most of the time. It's a shame because it is a pond that is under used because of all the poop. This is an awesome park! It has everything you need to have a relaxing day, it doesn’t matter if you’re planning a family fun day or something as simple as watching all the wildlife, this is the spot! This has several playgrounds as well as several shelter houses for large get togethers. There’s parking lots on both ends of the and they’re linked together by a path that runs through the park. There’s also 3 extremely restrooms which to me is a huge bonus! And for those of us who don’t go anywhere without our dogs this is also very animal friendly, so bring Fido as well! And to add a lil icing to the cake Eastview is connected to Huffy Pond which is a great destination by itself. It has an awesome beach, the water is VERY clean and the fishing is equally good! The pond also has its own parking area, shelter houses, and restrooms. There are 3 baseball diamonds located between the and Huffy Pond, as well as Montgomery Field where the Grand Lake Mariners play. As I mentioned before there really is something for everybody here and I would highly recommend checking it out if especially if you like family/pet friendly locations; wildlife watching, family reunions, swimming, picnics and the list goes on. But it’s not limited to family activities at all there’s so much to do and if you’re looking to just get away and relax, this place is definitely a great destination!
