Had a great time at the Shelby County today. food is getting expensive. $12 for fries and a lemonade. Put on an event it was a big success. The staff had everything we needed in the building at the start for us to set up. Plenty of parking and a huge building to use. Attended the Shelby County for the first time in a very long time. Always a good and fairgrounds minus the lack of parking however we were lucky to find a spot across from the main entrance. The demolition derby was a little slow with 2 cars in the first heat. The remaining heats really picked up and fulfilled our destructive desires. There were so many eateries to choose from and as a result we ate pretty decent food. Plenty of kid and our son enjoyed the coaster and super slide the most. Overall we had a nice time and we enjoyed it! Who doesn't love food!!! I thought it was really cool that you could go to the for lunch everyday and get your admission money back. The Crazy Red Heads food is awesome, so is the Bourbon chicken at the Chinese food truck. And I can't remember where I ate the mushroom swiss burger, but it was delicious. I also loved the dollar refills on tea. Grandkids loved the (need more kiddy rides), the petting zoo, and the pony rides. It's a once a year fun place to visit! Actually the city was having their annual Christmas dinner. It was great. Food, music, Santa Claus, all free to the public. We absolutely look forward to it every year. It was held in a large building at the grounds. Fun day at the shelby county fair. It wasnt nearly as crowded as last year and there werent as many food stands and but it was still a lot of fun!! Very friendly and good food and fun for the children We are a vendor at the and it’s our favorite to set up. So great to work with, clean ground. Great facilities. Wonderful people who organize and run it. Haven’t had any issues with anyone and I’ve yet to see riffraff causing issues. The one time it happened it was dealt with promptly. We always enjoy being here and bringing the kids to work with us because they enjoy it here too and I feel safe with them here as a parent.
